  1. BSOD - memory management crash error?

    Hello,

My PC has gotten BSOD on feb 14th and march 11th.

Event viewer had different errors for both days.

Feb 14th: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000001c7 ~ STORE_DATA_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION

March 16th: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000001a ~ MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

These were the first two times I recall having BSOD errors- they seem unrelated but I hope this doesn't happen frequently.

I have attached the minidump files here: https://uwoca-my.sharepoint.com/:f:/g/personal/krioux5_uwo_ca/EoXym0fokyJHuWT7rlVBsqEB3ioiO_UBEr4IO5x1K9p4Ow?e=ejzAxI

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Kyle

    :)

    BSOD- memory management

Upon checking the dump file, the issue is being caused by ntoskrnl.exe. Ntoskrnl.exe is the one responsible for memory management that is why you're having the Memory Management error. We suggest that you follow the steps found in the link that we provided
in our last reply to resolve the issue. Please take note that if you're overclocking your processor or video card, kindly reset their settings to default.

In order to fix the BSOD errors on Windows 10 systems, make sure the Overclocking feature from your computer’s BIOS is disabled.

To do so, follow these methods to open BIOS.

    Method #1: Complete shutdown

    Switch to login screen

Hold the Shift key while also pressing the Shutdown button

    Select Restart

After your computer restarted, it should open into the BIOS menu automatically:

    Go to Advanced tab

    Go to Performance

    Look for a Overclocking option

    Make sure it’s disabled

    If it’s enabled, disable it

Save the settings and exit BIOS by hitting the F10 key. Choose Yes if you’re asked to exit with saving the changes

BSOD - memory management crash error?

    BSoD MEMORY MANAGEMENT error

The past 6 months my Win10 Pro PC randomly crashes every now and then with a BSoD 'memory management' error.
Fortunately, most of my work is (more or less) saved but it is still a huge inconvenience to wait for the reboot.

Is there was a way to have Windows 10 inform me that my memory is in trouble so I can proactively do something to avoid a crash? If so, what should I do?

Thanks in advance to all who reply,

    Dan
