    BSOD - Network Driver issue

I began getting a bunch of blue screens ever since I started a new job and need to use a certain vpn: Dell SonicWall Global VPN client. The crashes usually point to swipesec.sys, which is the clients drivers, but I will get occasional blue screens when the client is not on at all. When I blue screen without using the vpn client it seems to point to NETIO.sys or ntkrnlmp.exe. But the error seems to always be IRQL_not_less_than_or_equal or Corrupted Pool.

I have tried downloading windbg and debugging the minidumps but nothing is sticking out to me. I have obviously uninstalled and reinstalled the mentioned vpn client driver. I was originally getting the same BSOD in windows 7, but I ordered a new hard drive, and installed a fresh copy of windows 10. The first thing I did was download and install the client and when I opened it I immediately BSOD. I have run memtest86, chkdsk, updated my bios, and recently installed another 4gigs of memory which seemed to help a bit.

This problem has gotten me so frustrated I finally just gave up and bought a completely new rig today, because I obviously need this software for my job, and no one else at my work experiences this issue. But I was wondering if someone here could see what I couldn't, and perhaps make this computer salvageable.

    :)

  2. BSOD issues Windows 10 64bit

Okay turns out the network manager was the issue

Just the bare drivers does not cause BSOD (i read on multiple forums supporting this claim)

Will inform you if BSODs continue! Till then it looks fine BSOD - Network Driver issue :)

BSOD, Reset "Wi-Fi" adapter, internet connectivity issues all new since Windows 10 upgrade

Since uninstalling and re-installing the wi-fi network driver, I have had no drops and no BSOD! Thank you for helping me resolve these issues!!!

@axe0 thank you for your reply. There are more than enough system specs in that zip folder attached. Since I use / own many computers I do not really see the point of filling out the systems specs page for just one of my computer. Since I have been able to reproduce this issue on multiple different machines, I see it as a software issue and not hardware related. Also, I cannot disable SonicWall Vpn. If I could disable it then I wouldn't be having this problem in the first place, but unfortunately I am forced to use this software

Filling in the system specs makes it much easier for us to help you.
Since I'm still kinda new with the debugging process and don't exactly know for a 100% where to find every peace of hardware your pc has, it would be really appreciated.

The problem is that the VPN is making illegal actions and taking the network drivers with it as the cause.
But since most of the drivers are really old, it might help to update the drivers if you haven't already (as suggested).

  7. I am having similar problems.

I used to run on Windows 8.1 Pro, and had various trouble with SonicWall Global.

Once I installed windows 10, the VPN stopped working, and I eventually got it working again by installing the network adapter manually per this thread:

    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...17f2a14?page=3

However, after that, I got the ndis.sys blue screen when I let my computer go to sleep WHILE the VPN is running. This was never an issue before.

How do I grab a dump to share with someone?*Sad
