Windows 10: BSOD - no access to Windows or safe mode - Bad System Config Info

Windows 10 1803 started having problems with October 2018 Update. Would not upgrade to 1809 and so had several updates pending. Contacted Microsoft support. They said they would just disable updates and I could carry on with 1803. A few days later the updates message started again and I put it off. Then one morning I had to restart my computer and there was the Blue Screen of Death! I assume the update tried again.
Tried manual updates, tried to remove previous updates, tried to reset config to default, tried to rebuild bootrec, tried to reinstall Windows from ISO file. All I have access to is command prompt.
At the very least, I need to get my files off of this hard drive before I wipe the drive and start over. I don't know what to do next.

Hello all, need help here. Win10 64bit get bsod-"bad System config info".

Can't get to any save mode

Reset PC always fail after 50%

MBR respond with bcdedit /enum

Help please...

Hi John,

Thanks so much for your suggestion. Sadly, the fixes did not work, and I'm still getting "bad system config info."

MS support is still not honoring phone calls reserved in advance/promises to call back in a few minutes-- must say I'm disappointed.

Any further ideas?

Bad system config info and failure to launch windows 10

Windows 10 on a Dell XPS about 1.5 yrs old

turned machine on and got the Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart; bad system config info.

Went through the multiple suggestions to fix, repair or restore but none of them were successful. Seemed to get a consistent response that a problem was encountered and therefore no the problem couldn’t be resolved.

Under troubleshoot attempted the prompt command option. The message under the Microsoft Windows [version 10.0.17134.1] said not enough resources available to process this command.

I found a video on youtube to address the bad system config info issue and followed the steps as presented.

After going through that process my system still won’t boot up.

there apprared to be enough free space on C.
