BSOD not generating any Dump files...

    Hi all,

So lately I've been experiencing BSODs more and more frequently for some reason. I did encounter them in the past, but they were relatively unusual, and as I myself am not exactly tech-savy, I sorta just ignored them. In the past, the bluescreen would momentarily appear and then the machine would almost instantly restart itself, not even allowing me the chance of looking up the error code. Though recently it's becoming increasingly a problem, disrupting even my daily use of my laptop particularly during as final week is closing in. The bluescreen lately has been basically lasting forever, with the progress to collect error info stuck at the 0% mark, until I manually reboot the machine. It seems either case, the system fail to generate dump files. I end up trying out a couple of the troubleshooting methods suggested in various threads/tech-tips:

    - I tried updating every drivers to date

    - I tried checking on Hard drive health with CrystalDiskInfo

    - I tried the sfc/scannow command checking system integrity

    - I tried Checking the system memory with Windows Memory Diagnostics, which showed no problem, though after the diagnostic process, the machine boot up and straight up froze again into a BSOD...

    - I tried setting the default battery management to high performance

    - and finally I reinstalled win10, wiping all personal files in the process

None of the above solved anything - in fact, when reinstalling win10, the machine encountered two BSODs, one during the reinstallation process, and another during the initial set up of the account after installing it. The two error code that I encounter the most often are Critical_Process_Failed and Unexpected_Store_Exception. They usually alternatingly appears, though not always, and occasionally I get some other ones... Now after the reinstallation, I've been able to basically replicate the BSOD occurrence: Whenever I play StarcraftII, basically after one coop game which lasts about half an hour, I would get a BSOD after a few minutes of closing the game. But that is not an absolute thing - it is not just SC2 that was causing the problem: even when I'm just using chrome, watching youtube, or typing a forum thread, I would occasionally get a BSOD due to the two errorcode mentioned above. In addition, I seem to also have problems with saving settings on my newly installed chrome - it seems there's some problem with the browser's memorizing my log-in status on various sites - though I'm not sure if this is related to the BSODs I've been getting.

Honestly I'm at my wits' end here: I have no idea how to get the dump file report, and any help would be appreciated in that regard. I'm also wondering whether this might be a hardware problem, even though the various reports the memory diagnostics and crystaldiskinfo seems to be suggesting otherwise.

also attached is the system I'm running:

  2. Driver verifier dump file BSOD

The Memory dump you uploaded was had a bugcheck of 50, not C4(Driver verifier Detected Violation). Nothing constructive was found in the dump, though.

    Step 1:

Configure your PC to generate MiniDumps:

Configure Windows 10 to Create Minidump on BSOD

    Step 2:

    Do a memory Test:

    Memory problems.

    BAD_POOL_HEADER BSOD, Dump File attached

    Hi Groggubus,

Welcome to the 10forums BSOD not generating any Dump files... :)

Please remove / disable items from the startup in taskmanager
These programs could interfere with the boot process giving you trouble and increase the boot time.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

Please follow this suggestion for the BSOD
    1. Please open BitDefender and go to the modules,
    2. Go to the firewall settings,
    3. Uncheck 'Block port scans in the network',
    4. Reboot your system <-- IMPORTANT
