    BSOD ntoskrnl.exe and crashing

I have a PC running windows 10 and recently it will just crash, I haven't had the typical blue screen error message but the PC will either freeze or restart. It started about a week ago when the PC randomly restarted while I was in the middle of something. This turned out to be Windows updating itself which i thought was weird as the PC shouldn't do that? Anyway it then randomly restarted again, no error messages but I had a look at BlueScreenView and got this: Imgur
After that I had a bit of free time with I think one or two more sudden restarts but nothing to tell me what was going on. Then this morning the PC crashed 3 times about a minute after booting up. The first time it just suddenly restarted, the second time the monitors, mouse and keyboard just stopped showing anything (lights etc.) and then the third time it just froze. It is currently working fine at the moment so I'm trying to write this fairly quickly. I got a BlueScreenView on one of these crashes which looks like this:
    Imgur
These are the minidump files for the first crash:
Free File Hosting - Online Storage; Upload Mp3, Videos, Music. Backup Files
Minidump files for the second crash:
Free File Hosting - Online Storage; Upload Mp3, Videos, Music. Backup Files
I wasn't sure where to upload them so if you'd rather I did it somewhere else let me know. Any
    help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Just got another Blue screen after a few hours of working normally. After this one the PC wouldn't boot and gave me 4 short error beeps. I understand that the meaning of this depends on the BIOS and I think I'm using UEFI but I couldn't find any beep codes for UEFI unfortunately. I moved my RAM stick into the other slot and it booted successfully. BlueScreenView is also slightly different this time: Imgur
I can't upload the minidump as apparently I don't have permission to open the file?

    :)

BSOD errors without an identifiable cause

Okay I may or may not be onto something now. Since, from what I've read, it seems that most ntoskrnl.exe BSODs are not actually caused by ntoskrnl, but by another driver that takes up the krnl's space. When ntoskrnl.exe finds it, it throws the system into
a BSOD to prevent damage. Looking the the dump files, I found that there was a driver called hal.dll, but the crash address was different from the driver address. The crash address was ntoskrnl.exe+14ec00, the same as my above post. There is also another driver
called dxgmms2.sys who's crash address was ntoskrnl.exe+14ec00. I'm not sure if this will help or if it means anything but I'm looking for anything at this point.

  3. ntoskrnl.exe constantly BSODing or crashing applications

Like the subject says ntoskrnl.exe keeps crashing every application and sometimes makes me BSOD. Any way to fix?

Please read How to upload files

Did you check the motherboard manual for the meaning of the beeps?

I had a quick look and didn't see anything telling me specifically what 4 short beeps meant. Apparently the BIOS emits a warning sound when CPU temperature exceeds the threshold but it says by default there is no set threshold. There is also a warning sound if the CPU or system fans are disconnected or fail which is also by default disabled. Thats all I could find relating to warning sounds unfortunately.

I forgot that there is a page Gigabyte provides for the BIOS beeps *Arrow GIGABYTE - Support - FAQs

Not sure what a Real Time Clock Malfunction is. Is this likely to be the problem because this is the first time I've heard it? It didn't happen for the first few crashes until a few hours ago.

Its also 4 short beeps that repeats itself (so more than 4 beeps) over and over again. Probably should have mentioned this earlier as it doesn't specify whether the beeps repeat or not. So to specify it is 4 short beeps that repeat until I turn off the computer by holding the power button down. I didn't wait to see if there was an end or count how many beeps there were in total. Almost certain that it was more than 11 beeps which is the most that that list says and it is definitely 4 short beeps on repeat.

Could you record it a next time.

I'll definitely try if it happens again but I don't really know why it happened or how to replicate it. What about the Blue screen errors though? I think I added the files the way you want. I have to go for about 1 hour so won't be able to reply straight away.

A hardware crash and one that is memory related, including a thing you mentioned I would guess that a motherboard memory slot is faulty
If another BSOD occurs let me know and we'll see from there *Smile
