  1. BSOD ntoskrnl.exe

So I bought a new laptop Acer Predator Helios 300 (2019) i5-9th gen rtx 2060. It has been a month and I have frequent BSOD playing heavy games like APEX LEGENDS or COD:WZ but can handle games like League of legends. BSOD varies from SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, UNEXPECTED_STORE EXCEPTION, KERNEL DATA INPAGE ERROR and some that I forgot. I tested using memtest86 all passed 4 test using 2x8gb ram 2666 ferquency at the same time. Used Hd tune to see if I have storage errors in hdd and ssd. I just recently Reset my windows 10 in hopes of getting rid of the BSOD but after downloading APEX LEGENDS and tried playing with it BSOD still occurs. I am at lost now on what could the issue be.

Before resetting I also updated my bios and updated windows 10 to 2004 my prev version was 1909 when I got the laptop. Right now no dump files were created with the first bsod after resetting but from previous errors from event viewer it all showed ntoskrnl.exe as the one that caused error.

Here are 2 mini dumps for reference ( forgot to backup before resetting ):

  3. How to fix BSOD caused by ntoskrnl.exe

I've done the steps you have given and surprisingly the issue got resolved. Now no issues with the battery too..!!

I don't know how to thank you, Gerry.!

    • May I ask which tool do you use to analyse the dmp files?

    • Why in BlueScreenView it showed the problematic driver as ntoskrnl.exe?

  4. BSOD ntoskrnl.exe

    wdf01000.sys and ntoskrnl.exe BSOD

    I'm on Windows 10, 64bit

Basically, whenever I try to update my LPC controller through Device Manager, BSOD with WDF_VIOLATION occurs (culprit being wdf01000.sys)

So I try to use the driver verifier to see which driver is causing the BSOD, but then it causes BSOD (cultprit being ntoskrnl.exe)

Have no idea which driver is causing them

    Please help!
