Windows 10: BSOD nvlddmkm.sys error when plugin eGPU after a fresh Windows 11 installation

Hi,I used to have running an eGPU box with Nvidia GTX 1060 on my Lenovo Thinkcenter laptop for a year. There was some issues due to installation of some third party apps, so I decided to reinstall my OS.I got all updates now and all drivers firmware etc. updated versions installed from Lenovo Support page.Now When I plugin my eGPU to my laptop I get BSOD nvlddmkm.sys error and system reboots. I tried installing previous versions of Nvidia Drivers. both desktop and notebook versions of DCH but still getting same error.Is there any common or known issue related to gpu use on Windows 11 latest re

Rtkvhd64.sys BSOD after installing NVIDIA GPU drivers (for eGPU) on Surface Pro 8, Windows 11 Version 22H2 and 21H2

Hello everyone!

I have some bad issues with Rtkvhd64.sys blue screens after I install NVIDIA GPU Drivers on my Surface Pro 8 with Windows 11 Version 22H2 for my eGPU GTX 1060. I tried to uninstall 22H2 update for win 11 allready and get the 21H2 Version back, but I get the same Rtkvhd64.sys BSOD on 21H2 after Installing the GPU drivers. Does anyone have the same issues and could help me in this matter?

New Windows Media Player Plugin for Firefox

Anyone who uses Windows Vista and Mozilla Firefox may be pleased to hear that the Windows Media Player team has now released a plugin for Firefox that should allow the browser to play WMP content on websites. Here are the steps to get it working:

• Installation of the Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin may require administrative access to your PC. It is recommended that you close all other open browser windows before continuing with the installation.
• Click the Install button to automatically download and install the Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin.
• Depending on your security settings, you may see a Security Warning dialog box. Click Install to install the plugin.

There is a known issue if you are using Firefox version 2.0.0.3 on Windows Vista with the installer failing with error code -203. To work around this simply restart Firefox (you will get a notification that Windows Vista will be changing the Firefox compatibility settings) and then install again - the second time should succeed.

The download is available here, and the new plugin works on all versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista (although it is mostly intended for Vista, as that currently has no WMP support in Firefox).

eGPU with windows 11

Hi,

I'm having issues with my Razer CORE X eGPU since I transferred to windows 11. I'm using combination of Razer blade stealth 13' from 2018 with Intel i7-8565U CPU, 16 gb of RAM, Nvidia MX150 graphics and Samsung 970 Evo plus SSD (1TB). In eGPU I have Nvidia GeForce 3050Ti, connected via thunderbolt 3.

For some reason, since I updated to win11 my PC is struggling while connected to eGPU. Fans speed is almost always at maximum, CPU shows high usage and overall performance is bad sometimes unusable. (this happens even on small loads like watching youtube video). If I disconnect it from eGPU (or any power supply for that matter) it works better.

+ I only use 1 external display (I don't even use laptops display while connected to egpu)

I tried reinstalling windows (new installation), removing graphics card , updating drivers, etc... nothing works. I've also run some cpu and ram tests they showed normal results.

Is there anything I'm missing, does windows 11 support thunderbolt 3?
