    BSOD occasionally after upgrading GPU to 3070.


    After upgrading my GPU to a 3070 I often get BSOD. I used to get BSOD before upgrading but not as regularly as now. I could be wrong and it could be after something else but I've associated it with upgrading my GPU. The BSOD most of the time point to a driver issue or memory issue. I have done a clean install of my GPU drivers using DDU, done a memory check, upgraded my RAM, made sure all drivers are up to date. I have plenty of power 850W. It's not under stress when the BSOD occurs and just happens randomly. I have also done a bios update.Specs are here: https://valid.x86.fr/gtrm4cI checked W

    3070: cannot get message details!

    I'm not familiar with 3070 but there must be a list of options what to do with message for example, open, delete, forward; is there not an option message details?

    This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:
    • Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
    • Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
    • After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

    Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.


    I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.

    Command Prompt or Powershell Window - follow Part Two-OneA steps 1A, 2A, 3A and 4 through 7.
