  2. BSOD roughly 3 times per month

    Hello, my computer has been blue-screening roughly 3 times per month since October 2018. I don't know much about how to go about searching for the cause, but I did start collecting memory mini-dumps.

    2019-01-04 dump:

    BugcheckCode 292, Parameter 1 = 0x0

    https://1drv.ms/u/s!AphKGS-86UWxkk5FXwR8J8fsWHdq

    2019-01-03 dump:

    BugcheckCode 292, Parameter 1 = 0x0
    https://1drv.ms/u/s!AphKGS-86UWxkklW6sANCfY55MdV

    Specs:

    • Windows 10 Home 64-bit (Build 17134)
    • Intel Core i7-4790K CPU @ 4GHz, currently not overclocked
    • ASUS R9 280 Series 3GB
    • Corsair Vengeance Pro, 2x 8GB
    • Western Digital 1TB Black HDD
    • Corsair HX850i

    Other notes:

    I only have Windows Defender (fully up to date) and Malwarebytes (Free 3.2.2, PC scanned 4 weeks ago).

    From what I have found in Event Viewer, both of these are BugcheckCode 292 with a Parameter 1 of 0x0. That seems to indicate WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, "fatal hardware error" and "machine check exception".

    In the last 3 months:

    • 5 out of 9 BSODs are listed as BugcheckCode 292.
    • 3 out of 9 are listed as BugcheckCode 0. I cannot find any information about this.
    • 1 is listed as BugcheckCode 24, and as it was an isolated case from two months ago, it is probably irrelevant

    I put the computer to sleep mode frequently due to slow boot times. However, on rare occasion when attempting to wake the computer, I will hear the PC case fans rev up for half of a second, then the entire PC returns to sleep mode. When this happens, it
    takes 3-6 attempts to wake the PC. I suspect the hardware error occurring may be a dying PSU. It also seems to coincide with when I am using 8+ GB of RAM, but that's not always the case. Still, it could be a RAM problem.

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    BSOD - Registry Error

    Your BSOD code is 0X000000051

    Here's the Google search I did for it: https://www.google.com/search?q=0x0...j5.399j0j7&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8

    There is a hotfix available that might help, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/810558

    This thread makes a few good suggestions too: http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-hel...dows-7-pro-sp1-registry-error-0x00000051.html

    +1 to listing your full system specs, OS version, etc. I did only look at your BSOD log file.

    Run a Diskchk /R (I know you already ran one, so you can skip this)

    Run SFC /SCANNOW

    Report back.

    7 different BSoD

    Hey guys,

    I have a serious problem. I make it as short as possible:

    • system runs 100 % fine with the 10.12
    • updatet to Catalyst 11.1 -> BSoD
    • updatet to 11.1 Hotfix -> BSoD
    • rollback to 10.12 -> BSoD
    • removed ALL AMD files manually, installed 10.12 -> BSoD
    • Temps are fine
    • no sfc /scannow errors
    • no chkdsk errors
    • Prime, Furmark all fine
    • regardless what driver I install -> BSoD
    • I did no hw changes, no OC
    Here are my BSoDs I receive:
    • 0x0000010e
    • 0x1000007e
    • 0x0000007e
    • 0x0000004e
    • 0x0000003b
    • dxgmms1.sys
    • PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
    They all refer to the GPU of course ...

    From now on I receive a BSoD every time I try to play a game (especially BC2 and SC II) even if I completely remove the old driver and make a clean install.
    Apparently the 11.1 damaged my system irreparable.

    Any advice or info would be very much appreciated *Smile BSOD occured over 7 times in the last 3 months. Always the same error... :)
