BSOD off clean install of Win10

After installing windows 10, I am unable to get past the option select screen for timezone/keyboard languages and such without a critical process failure/bsod. Often times I will not even get that far, and it will simply crash the moment it boots. I have already attempted uninstalling and reinstalling, but this has had no effect, and the problem persists.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 Upgrade BSOD, but clean install works.

I have a custom built PC with a genuine Windows 8 Install/CD/Key. I have recieved the notification that Windows 10 is ready to install. While performing the install (usually when "copying
files" is around 85-ish%), I get a BSOD (CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT). After the BSOD, Windows restores me back to my Win8 install with an error about SAFE_OS phase or something.

Anyways, I have also created a bootable Win10 installer USB using the Media Recovery tool. and successfully installed Windows 10 from scratch. But now I don't have a Win10 CD Key to
    properly activate.

I have also tried upgrading to Win10 via the USB using the "Keep Nothing" option. BSOD still occurs during the "Copying files" phase.

So now I'm at a catch 22. To obtain a legit Windows 10 license, I need to upgrade from Win8 to Win10, but doing so causes BSOD and upgrade to fail. And if I clean install, I don't
get assigned a Win10 CD key.

Is there any way to acquire my free Win10 Upgrade Key so I can activate?

    Thanks in advance

BSOD off clean install of Win10

Of the 4 PCs I updated to Windows 10, one started experiencing the BSOD, even though it was stable on Windows 7. After swapping out the power supply and RAM, to no effect, I finally put some silicone oil on the CPU pins; has been rock solid ever since...
