Windows 10: BSOD on multiple laptops on last 2 weeks.

One of our clients is encountering the BSOD on multiple PCs over last two weeks. We now have a pile of laptops urgently needing to be repaired.In the recovery environment we can't see the system drive I know it is not always C: but we have tried others and the various recovery options fail immediately. The laptops are all quite new Microsoft Surface, HP Elitebook etc and all have SCSI hard disks. Suspect there is an issue with a SCSI driver that has been rolled out but urgently need a solution to access the system drive from the RE to investigate fully and get a repair

Multiple BSOD

I have several laptops, all the same model the HP Zbook Power G9, that are experiencing multiple BSOD throughout the work week. After collecting the minidump files and looking through them, it's hard to determine what might be the cause as the error message that appears is something different almost every time. Looking for a little input/direction or what steps I can take to correct these BSOD.

 

HP laptop - multiple BSODs

I have an HP Pavilion 15-cs0021na, (Intel i3, 8GB, 128GB SSD) running Windows 10 Home, which exhibits the following characteristics:

• On startup, occasionally completes boot, but within 5 minutes, BSODs. with a random error, e.g. Page Fault, IRQL not equal, Memory Management and so on.
• Repeated attempts to reboot then fail with more random BSODs
• Rarely, it will attempt a Startup Repair – which will invariably fail with another BSOD.
• Wiping the hard disk and attempting to install a clean version of the OS (downloaded from Microsoft using Media Creation Tool to USB stick) will get a little way into the process, then fail with BSOD as above.

What I’ve done:

• Attempted clean install as above.
• Run multiple hardware tests on Memory and SSD - HP’s built-in tests, Memtest86, Seagate disk tools. All tests pass with no errors.
• Updated BIOS from Insyde F.04 to F.22 (HP supplied).
• Repeated clean install, same result.

I have now run out of ideas, and am at a loss to understand what is causing these errors. How are BSODs generated if no Windows installation is present? Is it likely that a hardware component other than RAM or the SSD is causing these?

Any and all suggestions will be much appreciated.

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if this helps:

Method 1: Uninstall and re-install the drivers.

Step 1: I suggest you to uninstall the Graphic Card Drivers and then re-install them.

Follow these steps to uninstall the drivers.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
  
• 
  Search for Graphic card and expand it.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver and select
  Uninstall.
  

Step 2: I suggest you to re-install the drivers, go to the manufacturer’s website to download the graphic drivers for your laptop and then install them.

Method 2: You can try installing the drivers in compatibility mode and check if this helps:

• 
  Press the ‘Windows key on the keyboard.
  
• 
  Type compatibility in the search box and then press enter.
  
• 
  Click “Run programs made for previous versions of Windows” option from the list appeared in the left side.
  
• 
  Select the drivers and install.
