    BSOD on random times,error 0x000000124

Hello everyone..I have a reccuring problem with my second pc.
I get BSOD on random times (when i play games or when i watch videos or i just using the web).
It was happening from the start and i thought it was from an old vga that i had,so i change it but the problem continued.I have taken my pc in 2 different stores and they run some stressed test and update the bios and some memory tests and they told me that it was all ok.But again my BSOD continued ,i changed the windows from 7 to 10 and still i have the same issues..My hdd are on 100 health.
    Pc specs
    Asus Maximus Vii Ranger
HyperX Predator 8GB DDR3-2400MHz Dual Kit
    HyperX Savage 8GB DDR3-2400MHz
    Coolermaster Real Power m620
If it's something that i missed to point out or if u need anymore information ask me.Thanks in advance
PS i also have voltage stabilizer if that helps on something.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 freezing, shutdown, BSOD errors and constant 100% disk usage.

    Specs added to post.

BSOD errors happen every couple of days, but random shutdowns after a few minutes of online time are more common. Also there is the constant high disk usage, >90%.

Tried the driver verifier method some time ago but it does not makes my pc crash for the BSOD errors to appear nor do i know what exactly makes my pc crash.

    Constant Crashing / BSOD

Hey. I've been having issues with my computer crashing or bluescreening. The time inbetween the crashes are random, and the messages in the BSOD's are seemingly random. If you need anything to help ID the problem, please let me know.

    Thanks for your time

    Hi savoukos,

    Welcome to Ten Forums.

Some of the BSOD mini dump files displayed WHEA errors which is almost always a hardware problem.
The event log indicated that Windows failed fast startup.

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    4) chkdsk /scan

    5) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    6) Make sure that there is no over clocking while troubleshooting.

Sometimes there are problems in the bios that produce bsod.

The bios in your computer: BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 3003, 10/28/2015

    7) Please check to see if this is the most up to date version.

    8) To ensure that there are no improper bios settings please reset the bios.

Sometimes there can be failure to boot after resetting the bios.

    9) So please make sure your files are backed up.

    10) Please make a backup image with Macrium:

Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free:
Macrium Software | Your Image is Everything

    11) And please create a restore point.

3 Ways to Reset Your BIOS - wikiHow

    12) When testing for WHEA hardware errors we need to systematically check CPU, GPU, memory and drive.

    13) Once the bios is reset and there is no overclocking:

Choose one of the temperature monitoring software applications: Speecy, HW monitor, Speed fan:

HWMONITOR | Softwares | CPUID: HWMONITOR | Softwares | CPUID

SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer: SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer

    14) download and install the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool
When the test completes please use the Microsoft snipping tool to post an image into the thread.

    Download Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool:

    16) Run memtest86+ version 5.01 for at least 8 passes.
This may take hours so plan to run it overnight. (It may take more than 16 hours for 16 GB of RAM)
(If you cannot be without the computer for this duration of time you can run 1 RAM at a time in the same DIMM but this decreases the value of the testing for dual channel ram) So please plan to run the Memtest86+ for a long duration of time so that you have at least 8 passes. Anything less than 8 passes is an invalid test as the incidence of false negatives is too high. Please make sure that you have made > 8 passes and then submit a photo.

When Memtest86+ has completed 8 or more passes make an image of the results to post into the thread.

We're looking for zero errors here.
Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.
Using a camera or a smart phone camera make a photo of the result and post it.
If you have 1 error you can abort the testing for both RAM and test 1 at a time in the same DIMM to determine which RAM is malfunctioning. If both RAM pass in the same DIMM then perform the testing in another DIMM.

    17) Run HD Sentinel:

When it has completed please use the Microsoft snipping to make an image and post into the thread.

Please make note of the importance of temperature monitoring and aborting the test in the GPU link.

All of these test should be done with the bios reset and no over clocking.

For each of the above tests please record maximum temperatures.

And please make sure that you use the Microsoft snipping tool to post images of each into the thread.

    Nice progress.
What was the duration of time for the GPU testing and what was the maximum temperature?
The HD temp per HD sentinel were on the warm side.
Post information into the thread about: PSU, cooling, case, mouse, keyboard, etc.
Please post an updated zip when you can (don't interrupt any testing):

For the memory testing please make sure that there are > 8 passes to validate the testing.
Use a camera or smart phone camera to make a picture and post into the thread.

If memory testing passes plan to use windows driver verifier to find misbehaving drivers.

    BSOD on random times,error 0x000000124

    Hello,
the duration of the gpu testing was 1 hour and the max temperature was 81C. i know it should be more but the support group at the stores i've taken it before already done it 3 times and no problem occured. Same for the rams and memory test.
The hdds were cool enough from 34C to 44C.
i have Phanteks Innovative Computer Hardware Design case with 2 more 120mm fans on top of the case pulling hot air out.
    ROCCAT® Isku FX for keyboard.
    ROCCAT® Kiro for mouse.
the cpu has the original box fan it came with. intel i5 4460.
i want to let you know that i have tried and used different mouse, keyboard and cables for everything, bsod happened every time. Also the case is new, the problem was there with the old case as well Scout | Cooler Master .
    Cooler Master: Support psu
i am also using APC Line-R 1200VA Automatic Voltage Regulator [LE1200I]

There was nothing new in the dumps. The last one was on 8/1

The event logs are displaying windows failed fast startup on 8/2 (this could be time zone issue)
    Please see post #9 > 19)
Please turn off windows fast startup:

    There were multiple:

The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

but no bug checks or failed crash dumps.

What was happening during the unexpected shutdowns and reboots?
    Freezes and hangs?
If so were they related to specific applications?
