Windows 10: BSOD on start up and sometimes while gaming. Help?

Hi,

I have been having issues recently with blue screens when starting my computer. I would probably say 1 out of 5 times I turn it on after at least a good few hours without using it it will blue screen. It 95% of the time happens upon startup bit it has happened once when loaded into the home screen and then twice when i have been in the middle if gaming note its only 10min into opening the game it will blue screen as have never happened in a long session.

Normally the blue screens say MEMORY MANAGMENT or CRITICAL PROCESS DIED but has sometimes been SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED.


I have tested my hardware RAM etc and there were no errors there. I have made sure all windows is now 100% up to date with everything.


One thing I did notice was when I did sfc /scannow two corrupted files were found and repaired so I am hoping that it should hopefully be fixed now.

I also noted that and this could be extremely wrong the RGB corsair app i have installed has been deleted often when using various fixes so maybe could be something to do with that as never had any issues before only when I started playing with lights I recall.


So to end my question!

Could the sfc /scannow find fix my issue?

Could it be something RGB Software related?
Is there anything else I can check?

I have only just done the sfc /scannow today so will have to see in time if it has worked and also the updates to windows and deletion of RGB app!

BSOD When playing games

• Does the BSOD occur while playing a particular game?
• Is the game downloaded from Windows Store?

I suggest you to update the Graphic Card drivers by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update.

BSOD when starting games on Win 10

Thank you for Replying back with the status of this issue.

Try the steps and check if it helps to resolve your issue.

Step 1: You can update drivers from the Device Manager and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to update drivers from the Device Manager:

• 
  Right click on Start button, type
  Device Manager andEnter.
  
• 
  Find the drivers which needs to be installed and also see if there are any warning symbols. If yes update the drivers.
  
• Right click and click on Properties, and go to Driver tab and click on
  Update driver.

Step 2: I would suggest you to update your graphic card drivers and check if it helps.

You can update drivers from the Device Manager.

• • Right click on start button and click on Device manager.
    
  • Select Display Drivers.
  • Right click on the Display drivers and select Properties
  • Click on the device tab and select Update driver.

Also I would suggest you to check for BIOS updates from the Manufacturer Website and check if it helps.
