    Bsod on steam deck with windows 11


    Hey! Not so long ago I put windows 11 on my steam deck from an external ssd samsung t7 so i could use the steam os as well as the windows from the ssd. Windows runs smooth and it always seems like its working then all of a sudden i get a bsod but like everytime i use windows. Its not even gaming, i got bsod while watching videos or even not doing anything. Does anybody have a solution for this? I mean everythings working then i get a bsod so if this wouldnt be a problem i think it would work just fine? So i really hope someone can help me with this!

    Hello,

    What PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA means is that your RAM is too low for your Steam Deck you need more RAM. I don't think you can upgrade RAM in Steam Decks so you need to find some help

    Steam Deck - BSOD, amdkmag.sys

    Hi

    I am frequently getting a Windows error on my Steam Deck.

    'PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA'

    And it's pointing to amdkmag.sys

    I've tried:

    - Windows 10, fresh install

    - Windows 11, fresh install

    - 1gb UMA buffer

    - 4gb UMA buffer

    Someone else had a similar issue here: Reddit - Dive into anything

    I've also tried deleting my AMD APU drivers, repairing them, fresh installing them, yet the same thing is happening consistently.

    I'm out of ideas, completely!
