    BSOD on windows 10 "ntoskrnl.exe


    Hi,



    I'm having problems when I try to run Microsoft flight simulator 2020, I keep on getting the the blue screen error.


    DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE.


    I have checked using BlueScreenView software and shows its caused by the driver: ntoskrnl.exe


    I have tried to search this up online and found out a list of things I can try which have been unsuccessful and still crashes. Comments shown below:

    1. Update your drivers Windows 10 Fully updated and latest driver for nvidia installed
    2. Run a scan with the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool Did this and it said everything was ok
    3. Run the System File Checker SFC/CHKDSK scan Did this and it said errors had been fixed
    4. Reset overclocking settings for your devices Nothing has been overclocked
    5. Install Windows updates Running latest Windows 10 update

    My laptop model is: Dell Inspiron 15-7559


    Processor: Intel i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60Ghz

    Ram: 8GB

    Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4GB GDDR5

    Please can someone assist me on this.

    Ntoskrnl BSOD

    • Update your Realtek audio driver.
    • Update your computer.
    • Disable overclocking settings.
    • Turn off BlueStacks/ another Android emulator.
    • Clean your registry.
    • Check your disk for errors.
    • Fix bad memory issues.
    • Remove faulty sticks of RAM.
    • I hope these methods help you!

    Evan here an Independent Adviser here to address your issue.

    It sounds to me that there may most likely be an issue with one of your memory sticks. I would suggest attempting to first run a memory diagnostic test.

    When you say you purchased memory sticks, did you replace all the ram in your system or just some?

    Also, if you had just recently purchase memory sticks. We know one thing for certain: that the memory sticks you just purchased are working optimally.

    Therefore, I would suggest removing your old memory sticks if the above test doesn't come back with any errors. If your games work without any crashing,

    My hunch is that this is a ram issue. Have you also attempted to re-install all your drivers for Nvidia?
