Windows 10: BSOD Page fault in nonpaged area (uTorrent)

The bsod reporting was seen in the logs but the last bsod mini dump in the zip was from 8/8/2017.
The windows error reporting displayed bcmwl63a as the source of the bsod.
And this is consistent with your post #12.
There were multiple bcmwl63a on 8/9/2017
The driver was last updated on 06/01/2015
Post #7 > #1 from 2 days ago had information on how to update this driver.
The bsod have been recurrent and the driver information indicates that it was not yet upgraded.
Please upgrade this driver.

To update the driver:
Open the Asus web site and enter the computer's serial or product number and operating sytem.
View all available drivers.
Connect the computer to the internet using ethernet or a wired cat5e cable.
If there is no cable available download the driver to the desktop.
If available disconnect the computer from wireless using a hardware button.
Using device manager uninstall the old broadcom 802.11 network wireless adapter.
Install the latest Asus approved Broadcom 802.11 network wireless adapter driver.
When this is completed please use the wireless to check performance.
Please post an updated zip after the driver update has been completed.

Edit: Still getting the same error. This time i uninstalled the driver from device manager as instructed, downloaded, and ran the set-up of the updated driver (released in 2016) by broadcom via asus.com.

 

There were 2 bsod mini dump files from 8/10/2017 but neither one could be opened without an error message.

The driver has been reset.
Please check to see if there is a new driver (a driver since 2015) and post that information into the thread.
When you have additional bsod please post new zip files and we will debug them.

In summary you replaced the driver with a new copy of the 2015 driver.
If there is an updated driver since 2015 please post that information into the thread.

These are the only two broadcom 802.11n drivers found on asus's official website for my appropriate laptop model. I have attached an image of them.

The event logs are indicating that the 2015 edition is still installed.

1) Turn off windows updates of non-Microsoft drivers:
Enable or Disable Driver Updates in Windows Update in Windows 10 Windows 10 Windows Update Activation Tutorials

2) connect the computer to the internet using a wired connection and turn off wireless with a mechanical button.

3) open file explorer > this PC > local C: drive and in the right upper corner search enter: bcmwl

4) post all of the search results into the thread

5) Use device manager to uninstall the Broadcom wireless driver and then view file explorer search to make sure it is completely uninstalled

6) download and install the newest Asus approved Broadcom driver (2016) from the Asus website.

7) view file explorer and make sure that you now see it as installed

8) open device manager > expand network adapters > identify the newly installed 2016 version of the Broadcom driver > right click on the driver > properties > driver details > confirm that it is the new 2016 edition of the Broadcom driver. Then using the keyboard click print screen and function keys (simultaneously) > open paint > paste into paint > use Microsoft snipping tool to make an image and post into the thread.

9) When you are satisfied that you have installed the 2016 driver post a new zip:

10) Turn wireless on and disconnect wired and check performance.

 

Alright here is all the stuff you need. Just to note out the driver i installed is the newest and the most up-to-date driver i can find. I honestly don't know where or how i can download and install the driver.

 

The current driver version of bcmwl63a.sys is 3/8/2016
The driver was last reset on 8/11/2017
The windows error reporting has displayed bitdefender as a faulting application.
Please uninstall bitdefender using control panel.
Then use the applicable bitdefender uninstall tool: Uninstall Bitdefender
The bitdefender website was just down with error 504 gateway timed out. So there may be useful information on the webpage to best uninstall the software.
Turn on windows defender.

Yes unfortunately the problem is still persistant. Same error by the way with that .sys file. Here is the updated zip file.

Side-note: Removed bitdefender via uninstall panel from Windows. Re-booted laptop as well yet same issue.

 

The same driver bcmw163a is misbehaving so this driver needs to be rolled back.

Open the Asus web site and look for an older approved driver. If you don't see an older driver you may need to change the operating system to 8.1 or 7.0.
Also look on the Broadcom site for an applicable driver: Support

Please indicate in the thread the number of drivers with the driver dates that you find on the Asus website.
And please indicate the same information about what you find on the Broadcom website.

This will be trial and error until a stable driver is found.

When you find an older driver make sure that you turn off Windows updates of non-Microsoft drivers:

Either connect using a wired connection or download the driver to the desktop.
Disconnect wireless by a mechanical off button if possible.
View the driver in windows explorer and then uninstall using device manager.
Perform windows updates and make sure it does not reappear.
Download and install the rolled-back driver.
Reconnect wireless and check performance.
Restart windows driver verifier and test the stability of the rolled back driver.
