    BSOD - page fault in nonpaged area when attempting to update win10


    Recently installed windows (from 2015) to an SSD. The windows version is 10.0, build 10240. I have tried updating it using automatic windows update, using the windows update assistant, and using the media creation tool. It gets to about 30% then BSODs into PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA. At first I thought it was due to conflicts with my GPU drivers (GPU - nvidia gtx 970) so I uninstalled and reinstalled and eventually completely removed the GPU hardware from the PC because the latest driver was looping into a SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (nvlddmkm.sys) BSOD. Currently, I can boot into windows and it works fine but will not update. I ran the log collector tool, which also ran into some errors (I have attached screenshot - logerror) and have also attached the error I get after I try updating windows using the media creation tool (error1). I have attached the .zip of log collector tool. Please help because I am at a loss. Things I have tried: - ran memcheck, all fine - updated all drivers - removed GPU from PC - checked for disk errors, all ok, no errors reported

    Page Fault in Nonpaged Area

    I'm getting the BSOD due to the Page Fault in Nonpaged Area on my Windows 10 PC; it only happens when I navigate to certain websites, and it appears to be browser independent. I've run the Memory Diagnostic Tool, the System File Checker, and Chkdsk- no
    errors have been found. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    Hi,

    my computer starting showing a new BSOD stating "page fault in nonpaged areas" .The computer keeps on restarting and every time I get the same BSOD.

    When i inserted the bootable usb ,I selected the setup option and again the BSOD (page fault in nonpaged areas) appears .

    I can't even restart in safe mode because again I get the BSOD.

    earlier my computer was stuck in an infinite automatic repair loop and suddenly when I turned it ON the next time I got the BSOD (page fault in nonpaged areas)..

    So please help me fast..
