Windows 10: BSOD: Please use contents of zip file DMP files, MSInfo32-sys-info-file.nfo, etc. to help...

Hi,I've been getting BSODs at least once a day over the past couple of weeks.I found an article that said to run verifier, which I did. It said the driver SamsungRapidFSFltr.sys was the problem driver.I also found an article telling me to zip up the most recent DMP files, an MSInfo32 output file, and a Speccy output file. How do I read the .zip file given in the BSoD


You mean the zip created by the DM Log Collector?

There are three types of files in the zip.Those are .txt, .nfo and .dmp.

• To open the zip itself, use either Windows Explorer or 7-zip.
• To read the text files (.txt), use notepad.
• To read the system information files (.nfo), use MSINFO32.
• To read the crash dumps (.dmp), use Windbg.

 

Help reading mini dmp file

Download BlueScreenView, unpack the ZIP, and run the EXE (no installation necessary). It's an excellent little utility for looking at DMP files and finding the cause of crashes.
