Windows 10: BSOD pretty much every day, randomly

    BSOD pretty much every day, randomly


    I have been having issues with a BSOD for a few months. Originally it was periodically and I ran some scans and updated drivers and even replaced one of my hard drives that was at end of life not the C drive, which is a year old. I am still having issues, pretty much every day now but there is no discernable pattern.

    I researching the issue I did try and run verifier but that would return a BSOD while booting:

    stop code: Driver verifier detected violation

    what failed: amd xata.sys


    I built my computer in 2019, specs here:

    AMD RYZEN 5 2600 Processor

    GIGABYTE B450 AORUS PRO CPU

    Patriot Memory VIPER 4 16GB DDR4

    Kingston Q500 Solid State Drive

    MSI Radeon 560 Aero ITX Graphics Card

    BSOD pretty much every day, randomly

    BSOD DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE randomly after cold boot/sleep

    For the past month I have been getting random BSOD's all with driver power state failure. They happen randomly, usually within the first 5-10 minutes of cold booting or waking my computer. Steps I have taken to attempt to fix the problem:
    1. Reinstalled GPU drivers/ tried old drivers
    2. Fresh installed Windows 1803, still happened, then fresh installed 1709
    3. Disabled Fast Boot
    None of these things fixed the issue, any help would be much appreciated at pinpointing the issue. Thanks
