  2. two BSOD on connecting Sony Camera

    Hi

I've had two BSOD stop 0x1a in the past 10 days. Both are Memory Mgt, both have been 5 seconds after connecting a Sony camera.

BlueScreenView v1.55 by Nir Sofer tells me:

    MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
    0x0000001a
    storahci.sys
    storahci.sys+658e
    MS AHCI Storport Miniport Driver
    10.0.15063.332 (WinBuild.160101.0800)
    x64

    MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
    0x0000001a
    USBXHCI.SYS
    USBXHCI.SYS+f33d
    USB XHCI Driver
    10.0.15063.0 (WinBuild.160101.0800)
    x64

Both Device drivers appear to be new with 10.0.15063 and are dated 6/June/2017.

Camera works fine after the restart.

    BSOD random Memory_Management, error 0x0000001a

    Hi ovichan,

    Welcome to the 10forums.

I am very sorry to say this, but it looks like I cannot help you.
This is probably because your system is windows 10 pro insider preview and I haven't been able to read dumps from insiders.

But a 0x1a error usually means bad RAM or a driver is at fault.

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

Hi axe0, thanks for answering me.

Yesterday, I did analyse the ram with memtest+ and voilá:

I imagine that is problem with modules rams, isnt??

I assume this pack cannot work with less then 4 sticks?
If that is not true, then you would have to test each stick in each slot separately from the other sticks and compare the results to find out if the sticks or the slots are faulty.

Ok, I will analyse each module separately.

    BSOD random Memory_Management, error 0x0000001a

Sorry for reposting, my question is: Should I use memtest86+ or memtest86 with support for DDR4?

    Thanks.

    I was wondering that too.
It looks like MemTest86 is the only 1 that supports DDR4 according to the changelog.
But I think that MemTest86+ should work.

Hi, again. Before of analyzing modules of ram, I decided reintall original image of Win RTM 10 (no insider), only I installed drivers that windows did not detect (wireless, bluetooth, chipset,...). After I use memtest86 6.2.0 free on UEFI version (hyperthreading disables on bios for avoiding program's hang and use parallel cores), did 8 passes without errors (is really fast).

After I use again memtest86+ with 11 passes and without errors. (I will put photos later).

I dont know what caused previous crashes, maybe corrupt installation of windows, bad drivers,...??? At the last, I think that ram is ok.

I imagine that next step is Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

The crashes are all 0x1a, meaning memory problems.
The first time you had several errors with the test, but the second time not.
It is really odd that the second time there were no errors.
Because of this, the RAM needs to be checked another time.

Thanks for answering, like pc is on warranty I have decided to transact RMA.

When is problem of memory, is only for ram modules or includes memory cache of micro, memory graphic card and slots of mobo too, dont it?

    Thanks.
