It's not always L1C63x64.sys, it has also shown NETIO.SYS but only once. I have not seen consistency in activity during crashes, it's happened idling, downloading, playing a game.

I've seen errors with this driver linked to the Atheros driver or a VPN (I have both a work and personal that have not had any issues), but as far as I can tell those drivers are up to date. The atheros site is down and all I see are "unofficial" driver sites.

Hopefully the issue is easy for you all to pinpoint! Any help is much appreciated. System info in profile.

    Cheers~

    :)

  3. BSOD - driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (l1c63x64.sys)

    Hi Seung,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused by BSOD - driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (l1c63x64.sys).

Please let us know the make/model of your computer.

The L1C63x64.sys is the Atheros LAN driver and I would suggest to uninstall and reinstall the Atheros LAN driver but install the latest Atheros LAN driver by visiting the manufacture's website and avoid using any LAN driver available though Windows Update.

However the problem could also be with any VPN software and other software so make sure you have the latest version of each of these software.

If the errors continue uninstall the VPN software and check if the issue persist.

Hope this helps. Get back to us for further queries for BSOD - driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (l1c63x64.sys). We are happy to help!

Hello and welcome to TenForums *Smile

Your most recent BSOD indicates that you have Driver Verifier running and it has identified ScpVBus.sys which is usually associated with Scarlet.Crush Productions Scp Virtual Bus Driver. It is dated 2013 so there may be an update.

Please do not continue to run with Driver Verifier as it puts too much stress on your system.

Forgot to mention that! Yes I tried Driver Verifier but it BSOD'd with the common IO manager violation, forcing me to run a restore. So it's off now.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the SCP driver (it's for a bluetooth to PS4 controller interface). Doesn't appear to have had any updates, and googling doesn't seem to relate to the L1C63x64.sys file that most of the other dumps point too, but I'll keep watch for another failure.

Updated with new dump from today - same one with the L1C63x64.sys. Happened during a game this time, but it's happened idling as well.

I've now re-installed network drivers directly from Gigabyte since the Qualcomm network drivers are what I see most often when searching for this file. After the reinstall, the version didn't change (4/1/13). I also flashed my bios to the current version. If anyone sees anything different in the logs that might be an issue, let me know!

The only additional information I could extract was related to a driver jnprns.sys which is a Juniper Network driver. Are you aware of any updates for this? The current driver is dated 30/10/2014.

Hm, that's for a work VPN. Looking into it, there was an update to one of its components 2 days before the first crash. I've uninstalled everything for now to test. If it seems stable, I'll reinstall from the newest version of that VPN software and see.

Had another rash of these BSODs at random times - the juniper driver has been uninstalled for a while, so I guess that eliminates that. If these still point to scarlet crush used in DS4Windows, I guess I will try to uninstall it since there aren't any updates.

Uploaded dump attached. What do you think?
