Windows 10: BSOD randomly started occurring unable to boot Windows or Windows Recovery

Hi,


So this may be a long shot but I am at a loss. My recent system was working fine for almost 2 years now when all of a sudden I just started to receive BSOD in varying different types of error codes. At the moment, I am unable to fully boot for more than 2 minutes before my system receives an error, and attempting to boot to a USB with windows 10 is not currently working either. Most of the time, I am stuck in a constant BSOD loop until it somehow works. I have provided my specs along with some of the BSOD codes I have been receiving.


My current rig:


i5 6500

B150M Bazooka motherboard

16gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8gb

RX580

CX650M

Multiple Hardrives but the main one for windows is a 250gb PNY SSD


BSOD Errors:


REGISTRY_ERROR

KERNAL AUTO BOOST INVALID LOCK RELEASE

MACHINE CHECK EXCEPTION

ntfs.sys failed


There might be a few others but those are the main ones I can think of. At the moment, I have attempted to change out the RAM with a couple of spare sticks I used prior. Still didn't fix the issue along with changing the slots. I was able to boot into safe mode a couple of times and didn't receive any errors when I was there. I updated my drivers as well but still didn't fix the issue.


At this point, I am starting to think its a hardware issue instead of software. The only thing I could think of is that Windows was due for an update prior but since these issues started I am unable to update it at this time.


Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated!

ughhh! BSOD on boot

I guess my computer BSOD on boot right before getting to windows. not sure what the problem is though, everything is stable.

It gave me a list of two files in windows that could have caused the problems

 

BSOD during windows start up

That's probably good news.

Quicker than uninstalling is to run "msconfig.exe" which is part of Windows. You can choose what runs when you start up the pc.

In the msconfig program untick all items on "startup" tab. Then go to "services" tab, tick "hide all Microsoft services", and untick the remaining services listed except hardware manufacturer ones (Intel, AMD, Nvidia, Realtek, etc.)

Try a normal pc boot then.

 

BSOD DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE randomly after cold boot/sleep

For the past month I have been getting random BSOD's all with driver power state failure. They happen randomly, usually within the first 5-10 minutes of cold booting or waking my computer. Steps I have taken to attempt to fix the problem:

1. Reinstalled GPU drivers/ tried old drivers
2. Fresh installed Windows 1803, still happened, then fresh installed 1709
3. Disabled Fast Boot

None of these things fixed the issue, any help would be much appreciated at pinpointing the issue. Thanks
