    BSoD restarts with black screen and Boot failed


    Hi Guys,I have been struggling with BSoD WHEA error but now it started restarting to a black screen with no on-screen options/dialog. Last option is to do hard shutdown by pressing power button but there starts another issue.Once I start back by pressing power button, it shows black screen with message as "Checking media....." and then boot failure message. Then it goes to boot menu and there is no option available of Harddrive/SSD.So I have to shut it off and keep it unused for sometime. And once it is cooled down, it starts normally with windows loading.Any idea whats happening?TIA.

    So this is not a BSOD ? Have a Windows 10 disc or USB Flash Drive made ? How are you getting to task manager Ctrl.+Alt+Del ? Any cursor on screen ?

    Hi Andrew,

    I suggest you to force restart the computer and check whether you can boot into the computer or not.

    Also I suggest you to follow the steps form the below article for
    “Black Screen”     issues and check if it helps.

    BSoD restarts with black screen and Boot failed

    Black Screen after Log on


    Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad
