I wasn’t able to make out the error message before windows started the restart, however here is what I do know:

I was going about my day, and suddenly, without any reason, blue screen. I didn’t do anything that could break the hardware or download any suspicious programs, so hardware damage and viruses are unlikely causes.

When the computer restarted, the first thing I noticed was that my wallpaper was gone and all my desktop shortcuts had been removed, as well as my taskbar ones. When I searched deeper, I found all my pictures, videos, and documents had been wiped clean.

I attempted to do a system restore to the day before to get my files back, and it went as normal, however it has now started to be stuck on “Please wait while Windows files and settings are being restored. System Restore is restoring the registry...” for... about 3 and a half hours. I looked up how long it should take and it said 30-45 minutes, and that if it is taking hours it is frozen, and I need to turn off my computer and turn it back on.

I tried this, however when turned back on it returned to that screen.

    Please help me fix this.

P.S. Please make it easier to post questions on mobile devices, thanks.

    :)

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:
    • Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
    • Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
    • After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.

I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.

    Best of luck! *Toast :toast:

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect

In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

    4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    5. Boot up with your new HD.
