    Bsod right after login or during normal use(Whea_uncorrectable_error)

    Hello! I work in it and have done all the tests needed to try to diagnose this issue(
    ran memtest86 Passed;
    Dell Diagnostics Passed;
    ssds up to date;
    Prime95 Passed:
    have not run furmark yet(will do so after posting, although have ran to test the graphics, and everything runs okFurmark Passed;(optimus is on)

    I have read in other forums that it most likely has to do with undervolting. But for this standard configuration i dont have the ability to undervolt this processor or does it have the ability to be overclocked. These bsods happen at random, it can happen after nine hours, or it can happen immediately after a login. I will be attaching my dump file for People to look into. What should i do now?

    (oh also note that this is an almost brand new windows ten install. I have installed drivers using snappy drivers and been able to play rainbow six just fine.)

  2. Random BSODs during normal operations after fresh Windows 10 Anniversary installation

    Hi all.

    I am currently experiencing some random BSODs within my Windows 10 Pro. First of all, after a BIOS upgrade, an copy of Windows failed to boot. Thus, I tried to install a fresh new copy into another SSD and format the old disk. However, I am having some randomly
    BSODs with different kind of codes. Some of them happened during a driver installation, while others happened during just normal operations like browsing files or the web. If I recalled correctly, I got codes like WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR or SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
    (FLTMGR.SYS), and some different codes. Initially I figured that a PCI extension card driver caused the BSOD so I removed it and uninstall the driver. But still after that, I still got some BSODs.

    I have attached a couple minidump files within OneDrive for analyzing: OneDrive.

    Still not sure why I got all that even after a fresh installation of Windows. I would like some assistance to determine the root cause of this and to get the PC back to normal operation state.

    Thanks.

  3. Machine rebooting after install of KB3150513

    My Dell Latitude 7480 (i7 windows 10) has an issue with KB3150513, when it is installed I get BSOD with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR after a few minutes.

    If I remove the update the machine works fine until the next time it downloads.

    I have tried unlugging all the devices and just leaving the machine at the login prompt and I get the same issue.

    Any ideas from anyone what to do?

    So I think I might have figured out how to reproduce the error. If I put my computer into a hibernate session while connected to power, and then try to resume without ac power, it bsods, other than that its fine. (ithink)

    I am attaching the latest dump for more help on what could be causing this issue.

    Update: just tried my theory and just found out that I am a liar. Windows doesn't resume when I put it in hibernate for some reason, it shuts down. This makes no sense. Going to do a clean install over again. I am also going to swap my current os ssd(micron c400) with my old 120 gb Samsung 850 evo.(never have had one issue with this ssd. worth a shot right?)

    Hi Kaibsora and welcome to the Forum. I'm just getting started in analyzing BSODs so I'm definitely not an expert but I did notice that you have Nvbackend.exe running on start up. While I doubt this is the cause of your problem this program is a known CPU hog and it might speed up your system if you disabled it on the startup tab in task manager.

    FYI, the bugcheck code that you are having is 0x124 and troubleshooting it is known to be difficult so I will leave the definitive solution for another forum member who is more experienced.

    Thank you for the reply, and I haven't noticed much CPU usage and I'd rather not disable anything nvidia related at the moment since I do cad work using my quadro k4100m. I switch the main ssds because I thought I found a flaw in the micron c400 as that also might have been the culprit of the bsod( if I did shutdown -h with this ssd half the time it would actually just shutdown instead of hibernate. The other half it would successfully hibernate, but it would bsod right after logging in upon resume. )switched to an old Samsung 850 pro and haven't had an issue using a clean install of windows ten and using the website provided drivers over snappy. That's not saying much though because the tests of trying to reproduce the bsod after changing the ssd is inconclusive.

    Hi Kaibsora,

    Welcome to the 10forums *Smile

    I'm just leaving a post to let you know that I'm going to help finding the cause *Smile

    As you have performed a clean install, it should take a max of 24h before a BSOD occurs, if it keeps occuring, based on the fact that the last onces have occured within 24h.

    Bsod right after login or during normal use(Whea_uncorrectable_error)

    Awesome! Thanks a lot and I will be sure to do thorough testing on my lappy. As you know its a very expensive computer. But I got it for free. Just need to figure this one out. From what other forums I read about this bsod, it seems to only happen with windows ten and this chipset particularly.
