  2. BSOD after a few minutes of playing games

    Laptop: Acer Helios 300 PH315-52

Hi, first I would to say thank you for spending your precious time on this problem of mine and I hope you can help me with this.

For the past 3 weeks, I have been having this issue where my laptop would close any game after a few minutes of playing and won't reopen until shut down or restart. In which case, BSOD would happen when shutting down or restarting.

The following is the event before all of this happen:

    • I rolled back my nvidia drivers to older version to play Detroit Become human. However, the driver I installed was not meant for notebook so I was using my laptop for 3-4 days with a desktop NVIDIA driver.
    • Then I updated everything from Windows update and NVIDIA (using Geforce experience)
The following are the attempt at fixing that I tried so far:

    • Using DDU and Rollback NVIDIA drivers
    • Rollback to Intel and NVIDIA VGA drivers from Acer
    • Reset Windows 10 to version 2004, OS build 19041.1348
    • Install DirectX
    • Uninstall and reinstall older version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2015
    • *Uninstall and reinstall my Killer Wifi network adapter.
Initially, for the first 2 weeks, the BSOD code would only be "Driver Power State Failure." but after I attempted the above, this code started to appear more frequently: "video dxgkrnl fatal error"

*As for the reason I reinstall my killer wifi network adapter was due to a code after I ran Driver Verifier for about 15+ hours "irql not less or equal". The Windbg showed the "kfecol0x64.sys" to be the problem and searching online, it seems killer wifi driver to be the cause so I reinstall it.

Here's the link to the minidumps for the past few BSOD:

    Minidump – Google Drive

Is this a hardware or a software issue?

Again I really appreciate your help with this problem of mine.

ASUS laptop w Intel HD Graphics- Can I uninstall NVidia installation?

My 2+ year old ASUS laptop G771JM originally came w NVidia Graphics but when MSoft installed Win10
and subsequent upgrades to 1703 and 1709, the Intel HD Graphics have been installed. They work fine, at least to my eyes; this is a gaming computer but I don't do computer games at all. NVidia asks multi-times
a week to re-install their package, and I don't want it. Is it safe to uninstall the two NVidia programs listed
in Control Panel/Programs and is there a preferred sequence? Appreciate any input on this issue.
