    I am running a 2017 Dell Inspiron 15 and I have recently experienced several blue screen crashes in the last 2 days 4 in total. I have experienced them before however the frequency has since increased. Issue I am having is that each blue screen indicates a different stopcode. In order, the stop codes I have since received are: MEMORY MANAGEMENT, DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL, SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED what failed: dxgmms2.sys.


    Please assist.

    I will make the change after I finish the memtest86 runs

    I have written down the following causes from the various BSOD over the last 3 months:
    • Critical Structure Corruption
    • Kmode exception not handled NTFS.sys
    • STOPCODE Memory Management
    • Faulty Hardware Corrupted Page (3 times)
    • Stopcode: Driver overrun stack buffer
    • Stopcode: Memory Management (2 times)
    • Driver IRQL not less or equal - what failed: SynTP.sys (2 times)
    • System Error Exception nvhdab4v.sys
    • System thread exception not handled

    Stopcode: System Service Exception when using video conferencing software

    My computer crashes regularly when using video conferencing software (Skype, Skype for Business, Zoom, etc.), but does not crash when not video conferencing. Looking at the minidump file, it says Memory Corruption and the only process name listed is dwm.exe.

    Currently my Virtual Memory settings are using Windows 10 to automatically manage paging file size, currently allocated 512MB for 8GB of physical memory.

    (The "System Service Exception" stopcode is when I don't have my USB mouse plugged in and am using my touchpad. When the mouse is plugged in, I instead get the stopcode "irql not less or equal".)

    Windows 10 BSOD: Stopcode - Driver IRQL Not Less or Equal

    This is driving me nuts for weeks now. I followed a suggestion to prevent Windows from automatically restarting when this happens, so I get a chance to jot down this information on the BSOD:

    What Failed: IaStoreA.sys

    I've checked the C: drive for errors and it checked out fine. What else can I do? Any suggestions?

    I can flatten the drive and reinstall if necessary, but if this is caused by a Windows update, I'll start all over again.

    Also, I notice this machine (Dell Precision T3600) has a habit of booting all by itself and I'm stuck on a black screen. Apparently this is a common problem right now, also.
