BSOD USB or Mouse related I think

Hey I've been having multiple bsod crash issues.

The issues are usually, driver_irql_not_less_or_equal thing, and it usually says wdf01000.sys.

Although sometimes the computer freezes and then later says: Machine_check_exception,

I believe its a driver issue maybe a usb driver but I don't know how to go about fixing it.

The reason I believe this is because my really shitty microsoft mouse has been working on it for 1-2 days now, but my old gaming mouse and the new one I bought yesterday don't seem to be working. The crash usually occurs randomly withing 10-20 minutes or right after a csgo game or something. It has never crashed during a game though, it's almost always after a game.

Also, I have run memtest. I have sent my motherboard, gpu, cpu and ram to pccasegear where I bought them. All parts seemed to have checked out except the gpu was faulty. So I went and bought a new GPU (msi gtx 1070), Still crashing. I have a 1 TB hdd and a 120gb ssd, ssd is not being used atm though. It crashed even if I run the ssd and not the hdd. Haven't tested psu, but it was working for a full day at my workplace using their shitty mouse and keyboard. So I'm unsure of the issue..... I think it might be my mouse to be honest but then I went and bought a new mouse and it's still having issues.

I can provide dmp files if someone can tell me how to upload them. Thanks *cry

I can link dmp files and everything else, please reply asap *Smile Thank you <3

Also since I've been having this issue for 5 months, and it would mean sooo much to me if someone can help me fix it. I'm willing to donate to you some money if you would like. I just really need this urgently fixed. Thank you!

    :)

    Windows 10 issue - DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (ETD.sys)

I plugged in a USB mouse that didn't install (think it's faulty) and I have had a couple of messages saying that it can't recognise a USB device even when there's nothing plugged in - this has only happened after I had the mouse plugged in. But I was getting
the same BSOD before I even plugged in the mouse.

    Here's the Memory.DMP

  3. Blue screen of Death on my Windows 10 desktop

    Hi

    SD

    Sumit Dhiman2,

Thank you for your reply. I tried to find out how to disable ready boost and it seems it is related only to USB flash drives. But at the moment of BSOD no USB flash drives were connected to my computer. These four devices
were connected to various USB interfaces - a keyboard, a mouse, a 1.5TB WD external drive (for backups; I don't think it was being accessed at the time since I have set up backups to run at night once a week), and a "Brother MFC-7340" printer (nothing was
being printed on it at the time of BSOD).

Do you know how to disable it?

By the way, the previous BSOD on the same computer happened about a month ago, here is the .dmp file in case it is useful:

    102117-42734-01.zip

    Thanks in advance.

BSOD USB or Mouse related I think

    Hi Hex,

I looked at the 7 most recent crash dumps, from most recent to least:

Bugcheck D1 - Showed nvlddmkm.sys your Nvidia display driver, along with a number of built-in USB drivers like mouhid.sys, mouclass.sys, USBXHCI.sys etc.

Bugcheck A - This time it looks like an issue with networking, the only 3rd-party network driver in the stack was rt640x64.sys, your realtek ethernet driver.

Bugcheck A - Couldn't get much from this

Bugcheck D1 - Notably this one occured at IRQL 8, whereas all of the others occured at IRQL 2. IRQL 8 means it was processing a device's ISR, but I don't see enough information to blame a specific device or driver.
This also had the memory option listed as "8" but the only values that it should be are 0 or 1.

Bugcheck D1 - Like #2 it showed an issue with networking, and blamed the realtek ethernet driver.

Bugcheck A - Like #1, showing usb issues but no mention of the nvidia display driver.

Bugcheck 9c - Machine Check Exception, very likely to be hardware related.

As for what you do from here, I have a few suggestions:

    0. I don't see any evidence of overclocking, but just in case, please make sure everything is set to normal operating limits.

    1. Ensure all of your drivers are up to date, most notably your USB/Chipset and ethernet drivers. I see MSI released an update for your Ethernet driver on the 11th of this month, and you are using one from 2015.

    H110M Drivers

You are also using an older driver for your 1070, please update to the latest release.

    2. I see you are still on 10.0.10586, the Fall of 2015 update, the latest release is Spring of 2017 update (10.0.15063). If for some reason the built-in usb drivers are the problem, updating to the latest version of Windows 10 will be the only way to update them. This may be difficult if you are getting frequent blue screens.

    3. Regarding hardware testing, how many runs of memtest did you do?

OK So, My cpu is not overclocked, everything is as it was since I got it (apart from drivers)

I have updated my usb/chipset and ethernet drivers from the website linked.

I have also updated my current graphics card to the most recent drivers

Computer still is crashing, and I am now trying to update my windows 10. I will reply results as soon as it's done and restarted.

Also regarding my memtest passes i left it overnight and got 6 passes 0 errors

    Thanks in advance.

    1) For Memtest86+ version 5.01 please repeat the testing to perform 8 or more passes and the more passes the better.

Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

Fewer than 8 passes has a significant incidence of false negatives.
A false negative is a pass when there is malfunctioning RAM.
It sometimes takes passes into the 20's to find malfunctioning RAM.
Just 1 error is a fail and you can abort testing.
Then test 1 RAM module at a time in the same DIMM.
This would help differentiate malfunctioning RAM from malfunctioning DIMM / Motherboard.

There were multiple misbehaving hardware drivers and good testing of the RAM / DIMM / Motherboard is needed.

Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

When the Memtest86+ version 5.01 has completed 8 or more passes please use a camera or smart phone camera to take a picture and post an image into the thread.

After completing the Memtest86+ version 5.01 testing with 8 or more passes and posting an image into the thread please proceed with these additional steps:

    2) The best way to fix the misbehaving Nvidia driver is to uninstall everything Nvidia using Display driver uninstaller and install new drivers from the computer manufacturer's website or from the Nvidia website.

The computer manufacturer's web site is preferred. Enter the computer's serial or product number and the operating system to view available drivers.

If you use the Nvidia web site be sure the "clean install" box is checked and only install the graphics driver and the physx driver.

Ok, So I've just updated my system I guess. Not sure as of yet.
But in reply to zBook, first of all thanks.

Step 1: memtest. I'll prob do it tonight, but as I said i've run the test got 6 passes and sent it to 2 computer repair stores which I'm assuming ran the test since they said it's fine and also sent it to pccasegear (where I bought it from) under warranty and they said it's fine. But I'll run the test tonight anyway.

Step 2: Completed. Uninstalled old drivers and installed new nvidia drivers.

Step 3: C:\WINDOWS\system32>sfc /scannowBeginning system scan. This process will take some time.Beginning verification phase of system scan.Verification 100% complete.Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

Step 4:C:\WINDOWS\system32>dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealthDeployment Image Servicing and Management toolVersion: 10.0.15063.0Image Version: 10.0.15063.0[==========================100.0%==========================] The restore operation completed successfully. The operation completed successfully.

Step 5: Gonna do chkdsk later since it might take too long.Step

7: Tried running HD tune pro and scanning my hard drive but it crashed around half way, from what I know though it was half way through with no errors... so idk

Step 8: haven't done this yet

Step 9: haven't done this yet

    Step 10: I don't think it's on

Step 11: Not sure what you mean

e1d65x64.sys: Installed something called intel driver update utility (Not sure what to do with it)

nvlddmkm.sys: Installed the latest one and deleted the previous version.

rtwlanu.sys: Installed this driver but it's from 2009 I think so idk...

atikmpag.sys: Not sure what this means....

So it's still crashing and I dont think it's hard drive related but not sure yet.

BSOD USB or Mouse related I think

The memtest 86+ version 5.01 is important with so many misbehaving drivers.
    Every test has
true positives.........................................test finding problems and malfunctioning hardware
true negatives.......................................test finding no problems and normal hardware
false positives.......................................test finding problems and normal hardware
false negatives......................................test find no problems and malfunctioning hardware
Accuracy................................................mathematical result from the above tests

If Memtest86+ version 5.01 is run for fewer than 8 passes it can have false negatives.
So a minimum of 8 passes is needed to have a useful test.
Performing tests that have fewer than 8 passes is wasting time as the testing was inadequate.
It sometimes takes 20 or more passes to find malfunctioning RAM / DIMM /Motherboard

Do you have teamspeak or something you could walk me through with this.. Although I'm pretty sure I'll crash during it. It might be more helpful. Up to you, otherwise it's gonna take me a while to figure out how to do all this.

When the Memtest86+ version 5.01 testing has completed 8 or more passes please use a camera or smart phone camera to take a picture and post an image into the thread.

Then post the Memory dump file for troubleshooting (post #4, step #9)
