BSOD Video Sheduler Internal Error when playing

    Hello,

Since a lot of time now, I have some blue screen. It's always when I'm playing (at League of Legends if you want to know), and it's always a Video Sheduler Internal Error. But some times I just have a freeze and I have to hard reboot, else it's totally freezing and I can do nothing.

All my configuration of my computer is registred in my profile.

I have already try some things :
    - Reset my computer
    - Uninstall drivers and install the last one
    - Update Windows

If you can help me, and with a simply english because I'm not a specialist in english, thank you very much *Smile

    :)

  2. BSOD Video Sheduler Internal Error while playing game

    Hello,

Thank you for posting your concern in Microsoft community and welcome to the Windows 10 Family.

We regret for the inconvenience. Let me assist you.

Before we start troubleshooting, I suggest you to identify if you have made any recent changes to the computer prior to the issue. Also, what is the make and model of the PC? Does it have a dedicated graphics module?

Now, the primary source of message
    VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR
comes from driver issues in Windows. Here, we are looking at a probability that the video driver might be corrupted or damaged.

I suggest you to consider the below important methods and check if it helps to identify and resolve the issue.

    Method 1

Follow these steps to run the Windows in built troubleshooter. This is a diagnostic which helps to identify any potential driver related issues present in your PC.

    a) Write Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.

    b) Click on Troubleshooting
    tab.

    c) Click on view all option on the upper left corner.

    d) Select the Hardware and Device
    option from the list.

    e) Click Next to run the Hardware and Device
    Troubleshooter.

Next, check if rolling back/updating the video driver helps to resolve the issue. Follow the below steps.

    • First of all, Press Windows logo + R from keyboard. It will open
      RUN.
    • Now type devmgmt.msc and press Enter to open Device Manager.
    • You will see all the driver list or your PC. Expand Display Adapters

    Rollback driver

Double click on your video driver in Device Manager. Then Click on
    Driver tab
    and select Rollback.

Note: If your drive is performing well and there is no error, Rollback driver button will be grayed out as an option.

    Update driver

Double click on your video driver in Device Manager. Then Click on
    Driver tab
    and select Update.

Also, check if you are using the latest version of the video device driver available from the manufacturer's website and that the driver is correctly matched to the video adapter model.

    Method 2

Try to place the computer in a Clean Boot state and check if there are any third party application/software to be causing the issue. This includes third party antivirus/firewall software.

A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Note: As the article is designed for Windows 8.1, Windows 8 and Windows 7. Unlike launching step for 'System Configuration', options and steps to Clean Boot are same for Windows 10.

Disclaimer: Please go through the section: How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot of the Kb article to boot the computer in normal startup after fixing the issue.

For additional information on troubleshooting, refer to the below Microsoft Help link.

    Troubleshoot blue screen errors.

Hope the above information is helpful. If you need further assistance, feel free to write to us.

    Thank you.

I was playing a game and all of a sudden I get a blue screen of death and the PC has to restart, this has happened twice with within an hour with a gaming PC I just bought today, the error was VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR, I've managed to get the MSinfo
files and the two DMP files from both crashes, but I'm not sure how to upload them using one drive to be looked at. Can someone please help me?

    Hi Audric,

    Welcome to the 10forums *Smile

Please let me know if you don't understand something and I'll try to explain it.

Please check Acer for BIOS updates.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    • Uninstall Daemon Tools
    • Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window
