Windows 10: BSOD (Video tdr failure) and error 43 Device Manager

After using Nvidia driver from Dell (10.x.y.z this version was from 2015), I haven't seen blue screen up until now. However, I can't run my game (Cities Skylines), it has a crash window when I try to open it.

Then I update the Nvidia (update, just download the newest version from Nvidia and install, I don't uninstall the old driver). This version is 23.x.y.z and in 2018. (sorry for x, y, z, I don't open this PC when replying this thread).

The newest version from Nvidia hasn't caused blue screen up until now (even when I render, remember the driver version causing blue screen in my first post was the same). And I can run my game.

I get good Health for the 240 GB SSD, but very bad result for the HDD 1000 GB (my PC has two drives). The software can't run benchmark for the HDD, it can't even get the health information (run error, test aborted)

I’m using Dell Vostro 5470, Windows 10 64bit with 16299.371 build.
Recently, I get an error in Device Manager, in Nvidia VGA driver.




Then I uninstall thedriver and reinstall the newest version it from Geforce site. It doesn’t help.
Then I reinstall BIOS (The latest BIOS version). I reinstall because I read in Dellf orum that’s a solution for similar problem. It works, the error has gone. But after a few hours working with Autodesk softwares, I get blue screen.

Each time I reinstall BIOS, the error has gone for a few moments, then blue screen happens.
In the past, the 43 error in driver had happened, and at that time I reinstalled NvidiaVGA driver from Dell support site and it was resolved. After that Windows Update updated the driver, then I couldn’t use installing Dell driver method. Only reinstalling BIOS works, but justt emporarily. Nothing in Minidump folder. I have run sfc /scannow and DISM restore health but it can’t fix blue screen.

I have been getting error message saying "video tdr failure" when I open google earth since I've changed to Windows 10. What can I do to fix it

I'm having the exact same problem (on SP3).

Please follow the BSOD Posting instructions and use the beta10 log collector provided at the end of those instructions.

I can see that a lot of errors are being detected on your Harddisk1 (WDC WD10SPCX-75K)






Diagnostics Test

*Arrow Run HDTune to

• check the health,
• scan for errors, no quick scan but full scan
• run a benchmark.

It may take some time, but please take the time you need to perform it properly.
When above is done please make screenshots of the following

• the health,
• the error scan,
• the benchmark incl. following
  • transfer rate,
  • access time,
  • burst rate,
  • cpu usage.

 

As a far as I can tell the bluescreens are all due to Video TDR Failure but there are no mini-dumps to help with the debugging.

The usual approach for 0x116 bugchecks is to thoroughly check the graphics card. Re-seat it; clean the fans and heatsink, work on trying different graphics drivers, and if none of that works then try a different card to see if the original card may be faulty.
