Windows 10: BSOD when installing Windows XP on an ASUS Eee PC - Can only install using F5 and selecting...

Hi all,I have an ASUS Eee PC 1000H which was corrupt beyond repair so I thought I would reinstall Windows XP from scratch.It had Windows XP Home SP3 installed on it, so I used the appropriate Windows XP Home SP3 install disk for the install.The CD starts, installs all the appropriate drivers then it says "Setup is starting Windows" for about 15 seconds then crashes with a BSOD with error code 0x0000007b.The only way to get past that error and successfully install Windows XP is to press F5 when Windows setup is starting and select "Standard PC with C-Step i486". Unfortunately this doesn't do an

Installing XP on A Eee PC *HELP*

Ok guys i have a quick question on installing windows XP on a Eee PC, i was wondering what are the steps to make sure i install it correctly without stuffing anything up. I have got to the screen where it asks to select what partition to install it on but there is 4 partitions. One partition is the old OS (linux) there is another that has the BIOS and another two that says nothing at all. So i was wondering do i just delete the OS partition and install? or delete the other two and not the BIOS? or?...........

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

ASUS Eee PC with Windows XP Outlined

ASUS North American headquarters today confirmed the plan to offer channel-wide availability of the Microsoft Windows XP-based Eee PC. "The Eee PC has been a tremendous success since our initial launch in November last year, and our channel customers tell us they want to offer even more options to their end consumers. With the new Windows XP based offerings, we expect to engage with a broader customer base whose existing software and applications require a Windows’ based device," said Jackie Hsu, President of ASUS America Channel. The Microsoft Windows XP-preinstalled Eee PC is expected to be available through ASUS North American authorized resellers by the end of Q1, 2008. The introductory models will be equipped with 4GB or 8GB of solid state drive. Pricing information is not available at this time.
