    When starting up the video game Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail, the game and the entire computer immediately crashes and has to restart. The first time, it went to blue screen with the error code CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT. Looking online, I found a suggestion that overclocking might be an issue. I opened the NVIDIA Control Panel and switched it to Debug Mode to test it, and opened the video game again. This time, it immediately crashed to blue screen but with the error code UNEXPECTED_KERNAL_MODE_TRAP.Here is a link to the minidump files.I'm not very knowledgeable about debugging and working with co

    CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT After Leaving PC for 5-10 Minutes


    Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
    Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

    If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window.

    The 0x101(CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT) is mostly caused by BIOS or hardware problem, the challenge is to find software problems.
    I suggest to update your BIOS.

    Hey, whenever i try to play VRChat my game will bluescreen after around 20-30 minutes. I've never experienced issues like this so i'm lost on what to do. i've looked it up, followed what the steps say yet no change. Any tips on how to fix? I get the error code: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT

    BSOD Clock_WatchDog_Timeout

    Hi

    I have been receiving the CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT BSOD even after I installed a fresh Windows 10 Pro. I usually get this error when I do nothing and it just freezes by itself which seems peculiar. I even followed these steps as described in this link (Redirecting) and it didn't work out.
