Windows 10: BSOD when playing game The Witcher 3

Hello TenForums,

Everytime I get into a game my computer freezes and blue screens with the error message "Machine Check Exception". Please can someone help me out?

KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE

I'm playing a lot of new games these days.... however some of these seem to crash my pc... That BSOD appears and says "KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE".

A game (Witcher 3) that worked before updating now crashes too.

I think it is the buggy update. Games worked fine before the update. But for now, any help?

 

Taskbar allways on top

The issue does not occur on all games. Only on world of tanks, witcher 3 and rome 2 total war. When i play those games in fullscreen mode the text on them becomes blurry but when i switch to borderless window the text is sharp but the taskbar is showing

This could point to hardware problem with your CPU but more often also motherboard software and monitoring software can cause this kind of BSODs.

Update these older/outdated drivers:

I have remove gigabyte app / HWinfo and update LAN + Intel management.
but still getting that crash without reason , tried tracking on event viewer but no clue. Just the witcher 3 my PC had that problem, another game is fine (playing over 2-4 hours)

anyway, thank you for your help, i will keep looking on my CPU then (maybe overclocking is not good for this game)

 

Yes overclocking can cause this kind of bugcheck also.

You can test your processor with this intel tool.
CPU Stress Tests:
