  1. BSOD when removing USB device

Greetings.I'm having an issue with getting a BSOD when pulling out a usb drive from my cpu. It happens with 100% repeatability. So far my troubleshooting has been to do sfc/scannow, dism, windows updates, updating drivers and looking at my minidump files generated after a crash. I need some help deciphering the issue contained within my dump file. I'll attach that below.I'm trying to run some software that does an inject and once its completed you pull the usb device...so I'm told to boot from the usb, which is what I'm doing. Let me know if I need to provide additional info.*************

  2. Remove Devices

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are facing issues while removing the device from your Microsoft account as it keeps popping back after removing.

It could be possible that the device was using OneDrive with the same Microsoft account and that might be the reason you are able to see the device listed under your profile. I would suggest you to remove the device from OneDrive
    and see if that helps.

You can follow the steps to remove the device from OneDrive.

    1. Login to
      https://onedrive.live.com
      .
    2. Now on the left hand pane click on PC’s.
    3. Now click on the devices that are listed under PC’s and on the right hand side click on
      Remove PC.

If the issue persists, please get back to us with the results of the troubleshooting steps to assist you further.

  3. USB Devices Get Removed and Reattached

    Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are facing issues with USB devices randomly disconnecting from your PC. I suggest you to try few troubleshooting steps and check if that helps. Follow the methods mentioned below:

Method 1: Use the automatic diagnostic tool to fix Windows USB problem. Refer the following article

automatically diagnose and fix Windows USB problems
    .

    Method 2: Method 2:
Disable and re-enable the USB controller.

    1. Click Start, and then click Run.
    2. Type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK. Device Manager opens.
    3. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
    4. Right-click the first USB controller under Universal Serial Bus controllers, and then click
      Uninstall to remove it.
    5. Repeat step 4 for each USB controller that is listed under Universal Serial Bus controllers.
    6. Restart the computer. After the computer starts, Windows will automatically scan for hardware changes and reinstall all the USB controllers that you uninstalled.
    7. Check the USB device to see whether it is working.

    Hope it helps.

  4. BSOD when removing USB device

IRQ memory BSODS, device manager, memory range?

The only time I've seen that type of BSOD for myself is when I fried the PCI-e slots on my Striker 2 board... There wasn't anything that I could do, try and rma and go on.. I would suggest the steps that MilkyWay has said.. But, if you really don't know much about Bios's... I wouldn't play with Irq's... That can mess up everything on your board. USB, ethernet, ram, chip... But, that's just me on playing with irq's... To much of a hassle IMHO..
