    What will hapen with files and programs on my Pc, after i will upgrade to Windows 10?

    Hi Jim,

    W10 Pro Insider Preview is presently installed in my C drive. When I upgraded from 8.1 to W10 Pro Insider Preview I didn't see any option as to which drive to install it nor any request for my 8.0 Product Key.

    How do I install W10 Pro Insider Preview on my new unused SDD without the install dragging some things from my 8.1? In other words, I want no chance of any remnants of prior OS's on my new SSD (no settings, passwords, subscriptions, preferences etc..).

    This was just a part of the memory.dmp that I posted in the Insider thread a few days ago and thought it might ring some bells until I finished my program at work for today.

    BSOD when updating W10 Insider Preview (installation)

    Did you look to see if the full kernel dump was present? The zip file just contains mini-dump files. Look in the C:\Windows directory for a file called memory.dmp - it will be too large to upload hence my request to share it via OneDrive. It might not provide any more information to help but it is worth a try.

    The logs reported corruption on the drive file system.
    All of the bugchecks were C2 Bad pool caller with pool header corruption.

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restoreheath
    4) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

    5) chkdsk /x /f /r
    This may take many hours so plan to run overnight
    6) Use the information in this link to find the chkdsk report in the event viewer:

    7)Run HDTune: HD Tune website
    to check the health,
    scan for errors, no quick scan but full scan
    run a benchmark.
    It may take some time, but please take the time you need to perform it properly.
    When above is done please make screenshots of the following
    the health,
    the error scan,
    the benchmark incl. following
    transfer rate,
    access time,
    burst rate,
    cpu usage.

    8) If HD Tune does not display the Health (SMART) report on the Samsung drive please use Samsung Magician to test SMART and display the health report.


    9) Run memtest86+ version 5.01 for at least 8 passes. Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
    This may take hours so plan to run it overnight.

    Just 1 error is a fail and you can abort testing.
    Then test 1 RAM module at a time in the same DIMM each for 8 or more passes.
    When Memtest86+ has completed 8 or more passes use a camera or smart phone camera to take a picture and post an image into the thread.

    The event viewer had displayed corruption on the drive file system.
    This was confirmed in the chkdsk /x /f /r results:
    Correcting errors in the Volume Bitmap.
    Windows has made corrections to the file system.

    There should be no BSOD during Memtest86+ testing.
