    BSOD while transferring files to external harddrive


    Hi, I’m on windows 10, and i’ve been trying to transfer about 450 gigs of files to my external harddrive. It works well for the first minute or so, the transfer speeds are at 80-150Mb per second, then it slows down to like 500kb/s then it just blue screens my computer. Does anyone know what could cause this or what i can do to fix it? I’ve done a repair upgrade just now so i know it isn’t a windows files issue. I’ve also tried different ports and different external harddrives. *edit* - it will fluctuate from high speed to like 300kb, go to high, go to low, go to high, go to low, then it just

    Transferring photos from laptop to external harddrive

    Hi Linda

    It is best to do this manually, rather than through the Photos App . .

    Connect your External Hard Drive

    Open Windows File Explorer

    On the left, click Pictures yo open your Pictures library folder

    Then, on the right select the photos or folders of photos you want to transfer

    Right click those and choose 'Send To' - your external hard drive should be bottom of the 'Send To' list

    That will transfer those files to your external drive . ..

    How do I transfer the photos I currently have on my Photos library on my laptop to my external harddrive? There doesn't seem to be an option I can press that allows me to do this. Thank you.
