    BSOD Win 10 - KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED - CLASSPNP.SYS


    Hi All,

    Had 3 BSOD's last night at random times, each time when I was playing Football Manager 2018.

    Tried a few Google searches but couldn't find much if anything to help.

    Can you review the attached and provide any insight? Please don't tell me its hardware *Sad.

  2. Win 10 Kmode Exception BSOD CLASSPNP.SYS

    I’ve developed a BSOD with error message KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED, CLASSPNP.SYS after installing the 18-Oct-2017 Win 10 Update.
    It only appears to happen when I start a program that downloads data from an external database.
    I’ve uninstalled the Win update but it hasn’t fixed the problem.
    Any ideas? Thanks

  3. Kmode_exception_not_handled (classpnp.sys) on windows 10

    I have had my laptop for less than 2 months. Havent downloaded any new applications or drivers and have been using it mainly for work on Microsoft Office.

    3 days ago, my laptop very abruptly and out of no where crashed with a BSOD and displayed kmode_exception_not_handled (classpnp.sys). This has happened 5 times again since then.

    I have run a few diagnostic tests and a virus scan however neither have come back with anything. I have also performed a full system update for windows 10, but the issue does not seem to be resolved.

    Please update the system specs in the "My Computer" section:

    In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'.
    After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.
    System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums

    Include PSU. cooler, case, peripherals and anything attached to the computer by wired or wireless (mouse, keyboard, headset, printer, xbox, etc.)

    The bugcheck was 1E.
    There were 2 misbehaving software drivers identified in the debugging.
    klim6.sys Kaspersky lab intermediate network driver
    Klbackupdisk.sys Kaspersky lab volume filter driver

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    4) chkdsk /scan
    5) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
    6) Uninstall Kaspersky AV
    7) turn on windows defender
    8) If there are 2 weeks of no bsod then you can reinstall Kaspersky. If there are bsod then you will need to find alternative AV. If the re-installation of Kaspersky does not produce BSOD after a stable working computer environment then continue to use Kaspersky.

    10) Open the Asus website for the computer's drivers and post a URL or hyperlink into the thread.
