Windows 10: BSOD Windows 11 Z790 MSI

On brand new PC with Z790 motherboard I'm getting Blue Screen of Death BSoD at random time. Memory check is OK. Any difference between Asus and MSI BIOS?

MSI BIOS has the same items, but is set up radically different.
The easiest way to compare is download their manuals, and leaf through the BIOS settings.

For the ASUS boards... ASUS has been listing the BIOS settings only in the TUF motherboard's manuals of the same chipset.
So in your case, looks for the manual for the ASUS TUF Z790 manual.

For all motherboards, you can generally tell if the BIOS settings are included in the manual, by the size in MB.
Manuals with the BIOS settings will be approx. 6-7MB or greater in size.

I can't seem to find the BIOS manual for the Z790 MSI board... anywhere. :/
I went all the way back to an MSI Z390 board to find a manual "with" the BIOS settings, to give you an idea...

Unsupported processor bsod 13900k

Hey, I am building a new build and am constantly getting stuck in a unsupported processor bsod loop.

If I install from an old windows 10 USB I can get to windows, however if I update this or try windows 11 the loop starts again.

I have a 13900k with a MSI z790-p Wifi board. DDR5 RAM and a 3080.

Any help is appreciated.

 

Help needed for periodic BSODs on MSI laptop

I believe I ran this hard drive scan yesterday and nothing out of the ordinary showed up in the benchmark, no bad sectors.. I will test it again and post the results. I will also post the results of memtest, I left it while I went to work so hopefully it has not booted to Windows while I was out
