  1. BSOD Windows Stuck in Device Driver

    Hi All,

I've been searching in the internet for almost a week now to fix my BSOD - "Thread Stuck in Device Driver". I have already reinstalled my Windows 10, 2 times now but still encountering the same error. Tried also to reinstall the AMD graphics driver by using 'Display Driver Uninstaller' then reinstalling it, but still the same. Also tried to run "sfc /scannow" but windows didn't find anything.

This only happens when playing Dota 2, while waiting for the game to start. I'm browsing/watching youtube using Chrome.

I have attached the minidump for the BSOD. I hope someone could help me.

    Attachment 76356

    Thank you very much!

    :)

  2. Thread Stuck in Device Driver in Windows 10 BSOD.

    thanks for the reply aileen,

I have installed latest available bios driver already after the issue started.

if i manually install the driver after the installation finishes my system will crash with thread stuck in device driver BSOD and will continue to do so untill i go to safe mode .

after reboot windows will update a very old version of it, 2015 15.200. in windows 8 i was able to use system as it will only show a popup that application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware. but in windows 10 its crashing.

i have trying all the fixes sugested in all the forums for the past 1 year. please sugest if you have any solution.

  3. Thread Stuck in Device Driver in Windows 10 BSOD.

Thanks for the update. Upon further research, it seems like the error occurs for other users who have
AMD Gaming Evolved/Raptr installed on their PC. This program is installed with the graphics drivers because it is selected by default and the AMD uninstaller doesn't remove it.

Note: This method contains steps on how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow the steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry
before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, you may refer to this

    Microsoft article
    .

To remove it, follow these steps:

    • Go to Control Panel >Programs > Uninstall a program.
    • Look for Gaming Evolved and uninstall it.
    • Launch the Registry Editor by typing regedit in the Windows search bar and selecting the best match.
    • Click the Edit tab, select Find and type in
      raptr.
    • Click Find Next.
    • Every time an entry comes up, delete it.
    • Keep clicking Find Next to delete all entries.

Now, try to install the drivers again. Choose Custom install and uncheck the box next to the
Gaming Evolved option. If it tells you it is installed and up-to-date, you might have missed a registry entry.

Let me know how it turns out.

Overclocking your graphic Card can cause problems/BSOD.
If you are overclocking stop overclocking and see if this stops the BSOD.
Also update these programs to windows 10 compatible or uninstall/remove them.
