Windows 10: BSOD with VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE

Good evening,I am having trouble with my system:Old 12900KS died a few months ago, so I replaced it with a 13600K just the other day. Now I keep getting BSODs VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE when I play a game and watch a video simultaneously one display for each application. I can easily replicate the problem by playing and watching for around 10 mins. The game I am playing isn’t very demanding Battle Brothers and I also monitored temps which are below 40°C all the time. I reinstalled Win11 and the graphics driver using DDU. Other drivers +BIOS, Chipset, etc. are to date. Setup:MB: Biostar B66

BSOD with VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE post - issue unknown

The Video_TDR_Failure error may have been caused by an incompatible display driver. Since you mentioned that you already updated the graphics card driver, we suggest performing the steps provided on this
link to troubleshoot the blue screen error.

BSOD: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (nvlddmkm.sys) when waking up from sleep


Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
   • Double click the executable to open it
   • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

The crashes 0x116(VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE) are graphical related. This means the drivers of the GPU stopped responding, but Windows couldn't get the drivers to react again within a certain time amount. This could be due to dust, improper seated card, damaged card, drivers, power problem, related software, overheating, etc.
Please uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from Nvidia. Be sure the clean install box is checked and only install the Graphics driver and the PhysX driver.

 

video_tdr_failure BSOD error Windows 10

So twice today I've had my laptop crash to BSOD with "video_tdr_failure igdkmd64.sys" listed as the error code. The system would lock up briefly, then the screen would go black with just the mouse cursor in the middle but not responsive, before dropping
to the BSOD after a minute or so.

Does anyone have any ideas what the issue is?

Driver: 10.18.15.4248 (Auto-installed through Windows Update on October 15th)
