    BSODing constantly - Error: DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER

Title has the latest one but I also got one the other day that says

    Error: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M

NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 461.40

I tried rolling back my graphics driver after getting that one and I didn't get it again but got a new one.

    All help is greatly appreciated.

    :)

    BSODing constantly - Error: DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER

    Windows 10 PC constantly BSODing

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving the issue. I understand that you are receiving a Blue Screen
error on your computer. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.

    However, please let us know:

    • What is the error message you see when you receive the Blue Screen error?

    • Are you aware of any changes made to the computer recently?

    • What is the make and model of the computer?

I would like to inform you that to get to root cause of the issue we need to analyze the mini dump files. To
share the files Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump, upload the files to OneDrive and share the OneDrive link.

Meanwhile, you may want to refer the steps mentioned below:

    Method 1: Remove External devices

I would suggest you to remove all the external devices connected to the computer apart from keyboard and mouse
and check if that makes a difference.

Method 2: Safe Mode and Clean boot

    Safe Mode:

I would suggest you to try booting the computer into Safe Mode and check if it is still crashing. Refer the
    article Start
your PC in safe mode in Windows 10
    .

In case, the PC is working fine in Safe Mode then you may try performing Clean Boot and see if the PC boots
    normally.

    Clean Boot:

Performing a clean boot will start the computer with minimal set of drivers and programs, to determine
whether a background program is causing the issue. Some of the Startup programs will not load after performing a clean boot on the computer. However, that functionality will return when you reset the computer to start normally after finishing the troubleshooting.

To perform a clean boot on the computer refer to the article
    How
to perform a clean boot in Windows
    .

If performing a clean boot fixes the issue then, please refer to the section
How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean boot
to check which program is causing the issue.

    Note:
Please refer the section Reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting
to boot the computer in to normal mode after troubleshooting.

You may also want to refer the steps mentioned in the article
    Troubleshoot
    blue screen errors
    .

Let us know how it goes.
