  1. BSODs due to IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL constantly occurring during gameplay

Hello,Recently, I have been getting BSODs when I play certain games, arguably ones that are more graphics and processing intensive GTA V. The reason for each BSOD is IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and after doing some searching, I'm told its either a corrupted file, driver, or memory issue. I have run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth in cmd to check for corrupt files, but that has not returned any issues, so that might not be the problem. I have also run Windows Memory Diagnostics several times in the past month, each time it has not detected any issues, so I have also ruled that out for now

  2. BSOD problems IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL + MEMORY_MANAGEMENT + PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Some days when I turn off my PC it happens sequentially these 3 BSOD (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL + MEMORY_MANAGEMENT + PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA). Not necessarily in this order. But the errors are basically one of these.

    • I've already done memtest86 and got no errors
    • SFC /scannow with no errors too
    • checkdisk with no errors
I've checked the error with BlueScreenView and the problem is with the driver ntoskrnl.exe.

Any suggestion of whats going on?

  3. BSOD - IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL + PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA: dxgkrnl.s

Hi guys, I've been getting some crashes on my computer lately. Soft crashes from games which do not require a full computer restart. However, I have noted the following:

    1) On one occasion when running a semi-GPU intensive program, I experienced a BSOD with the error code: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I don't think I have the .dmp file for this anymore.
    2) I was running a virus scan overnight and turned my monitors off. By the next morning, when I turned on my monitors (and pressing keys on my keyboard to wake it up), I was met with a BSOD. Checking the minidump file indicated to me that the BSOD only occurred when I sent input to my keyboard, meaning that the scan and PC was running all night/morning, up until that point. In this minidump, it pinpointed that dxgkrnl.sys failed.

What I have done to troubleshoot:

    • Full scan with Malwarebytes and Windows Defender
    • Uninstall Nvidia drivers with DDU and install the most recent drivers (and even tried an older one too)
    • Full mem86 test - PASS
    • Furmark test - no crashes

    Speccy: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/5...C5pA6kCPd2lFVL

    • Specs:
    • Windows 10 Pro (V. 1803)
    • GTX1080
    • Tomahawk B350
    • 16GB RAM @ 3200Mhz

Appreciate any suggestions or advice to keep this from happening!

BSOD due to Driver_Verification_Detected_Violation after Windows update

I was browsing the Steam program and opened a page with an imbedded video of somebody streaming gameplay which triggered an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL crash. When the computer rebooted it immediately hit a BSOD due to Driver_Verification_Detected_Violation and
restarted. This repeated until it entered repair mode and I logged into Safe Mode. I have not previously had any issues with imbedded videos on Steam. Looking through my event log, the last event listed prior to rebooting in Safe Mode was a series of Windows
    Updates.

    DMP file is here:

    092519-6703-01.dmp

System came with Windows 10 pre-installed. BIOS and graphics card drivers were updated a few weeks back and the sound card driver some time before that. Windows updates have been installed automatically.
