    Alright, the test looks good.

Did you have a chance to look at driver verifier?

Not yet, I'll get on it tomorrow or at least in the next few days.

Tried driver verifier today. Upon rebooting, I immediately got a BSOD. It didn't create a dump file for some reason, but it said that it was caused by the driver amdkmpfd.sys. I couldn't find a way of uninstalling this driver specifically, so I just uninstalled my graphics drivers and then installed the latest ones.

Ran driver verifier again and got the same result. Not sure what to do now.

Code: Driver Management has concluded the process to add Service amdkmdag for Device Instance ID PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6810&SUBSYS_2336148C&REV_00\4&2534E90F&0&0010 with the following status: 0.[/quote]

The last bsod in the latest zip file is 06/22/2017. So it is not displaying any windows driver verifier dumps.
Let's make sure the settings are optimal for creating dumps:

    1) Keyboard: win + r keys simultaneously > type or copy and paste: sysdm.cpl > click advanced tab > under startup and recovery click settings > under system failure un-check automatically restart and for write debugging information set to automatic memory dump.

    2) This is the driver information for amdkmafd: AMD Audio Bus Lower Fi AMD Audio Bus Lower Fi Kernel Manual Stopped OK FALSE FALSE 4,096 8,192 0 20-May-15 12:26:48 AM C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\amdkmafd.sys 4,096
amdkmpfd.sys AMD PCI Root Bus Lower Filter Download Drivers When you uninstalled and reinstalled AMD were you able to see this driver listed?

3)open file explorer then this pc and place amdkmpfd.sys into search. What is the location?
Use this tool to uninstall the driver: Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 17.0.6.7: Official Display Driver Uninstaller DDU Download

    4) when using windows driver verifier have you able to turn it off using safe mode with command prompt and entering: verifier /reset ? or did you have to use an alternative method?

amdkmpfd.sys is a driver from the chipset I believe.
Your Gigabyte provides only drivers for Windows 8.1 for the chipset, but since some Windows 8.1 drivers work well under Windows 10 it may be worth it.

Please clarify when you had the bsod with amdkmpfd.sys. was it using windows driver verifier or was it after you turned windows driver verifier off and returned to the desktop?

Place the computer in clean boot by opening administrative command prompt and typing or copying and pasting these commands:

    1) msconfig (in the pop up system configuration > move the dot from normal startup to selective startup > uncheck load startup items > click service tab > in left lower corner check hide all Microsoft services > in the lower right side click disable all > click apply or ok > do not reboot)

    2) taskmgr (in the pop up task manager > click on the start up tab > click on status so that the column sorts with enable rising to the top > right click on each row with enable and change to disable)

    3) shutdown /r (you will reboot the computer so that it is in clean boot)

In other words, when driver verifier was enabled.

I've adjusted my startup and recovery settings as instructed, hopefully it will always make a dump file after a BSOD now.

It wasn't listed on the website anywhere and I didn't see it when the installer was running.

I found it in two locations: C:\AMD\AMD-Catalyst-15.4Beta-64Bit-Win7-Apr9\Packages\Drivers\amdkmpfd\W764A and C:\Drivers\System\amdkmpfd_13.251.3.0000_0081F00A93E211B3E96E42F951F5D4B809663891
I used that tool that you sent, but all it did was uninstall my graphics drivers completely. Again, no option to get rid of amdkmpfd.sys specifically that I could see.

Nah, the original method worked fine.

Correct. Sorry for not making this clear. In this case, I'm assuming a clean boot isn't necessary?

Based on what axe0 has said, do I need to find a more up-to-date replacement for amdkmpfd.sys from Gigabyte? I'm also still not sure how to remove the current amdkmpfd.sys from my PC. If it's likely that I did something wrong with the DDU tool, please let me know. I just chose to do the recommended refresh and restart (in safe mode).

A clean boot indeed is not necessary IMO.

Please do not attempt tampering the file, since it may be a part of the chipset your system may become more unstable when tampering it.

DDU does not work, because amdkmpfd.sys is indirectly related to the display. Only the drivers that are directly related are removed by DDU.

Since Gigabyte provides no driver update, it likely has been installed by Windows through Windows Update. See if you can install the Windows 8.1 version from Gigabyte.

I went onto the Gigabyte website and I found chipset drivers for my motherboard for Windows 8.1 (there were none for Windows 10) which I installed. However, amdkmpfd.sys doesn't seem to have been updated or replaced. I also Googled for an updated driver but found nothing. It's like a newer version of this driver just doesn't exist.

When installing a driver that is officially meant for an older OS, don't expect it to be more updated.

No luck with those, zbook. I'll search around a bit more and maybe see if I can get some direct assistance from AMD/Gigabyte. Thanks for all the help so far.
