Windows 10: BSODs for MBAMSwissArmy During Normal Usage (MBAM Is Not Scanning)

This is the third time I've posted for assistance for BSOD's, so sorry to keep bothering you, but luckily I seem to be getting less and less BSOD's each time! I keep getting this one for MBAMSwissArmy.sys however, so as always, I've uploaded the DM collector log file. And as always, I've got no idea what the cause is as MBAM is almost always not running when the BSOD occurs (I don't think it's related, just by chance.) From what I've read as well, it's usually not even MBAM that's the cause, but I still don't really know what's causing these. I think this is the only type of BSOD I've ever gotten in the past 2 months or so though, which is hopefully an improvement.

In fact, I just got another one as I was writing this... And I started writing this because of one, so they seem to be getting more frequent. Either way, thanks for all of your help in the past! I hope we can get this resolved once and for all.. Here's the logs: Attachment 110722

BSOD

I get the bsod message that says page fault in non paged area mbam swissarmy.sys. and then my pc restarts. I also noticed that if I change the setting that I have with my Malwarebytes app to scan for rootkits then I always tet this blue screen message. If
I do not have the scan for rootkits option checked, then I do not get the bsod. What is this all aboutl?what is this?

MBAM never found any malware during any of the scans. The only thing was when I was looking at the screen while it was scanning and saw the ":WofCompressedData" continually showing up, I was concerned

Given that MBAM and Kaspersky both do not find any problems on my computer, I should not be concerned about the ":WofCompressedData", because as you say they are just benign disk fragments; is this a correct interpretation?

First just uninstall it and see if the problem goes away. If yes try reinstall but if it fails again then leave it uninstalled. Maybe post in the MBAM forum: General Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Forum - Malwarebytes Forum

 

See you are running one of the Insider Preview builds, 14931.1002 from October. You could try the latest update available, 14971: Windows 10 News - Windows 10 Forums from the Fast Ring.

If you are using the free version there is no support other than the forum. Premium (what I have) has e-mail, chat and live support.

Let me know how it goes with MBAM uninstalled.

 

Yup I have the premium version as well. I started out with the free version for a year and really liked it so I decided to get premium. If anyone else happens to read this, it's definitely worth the money and their support team has been great and very quick to respond, plus MalwareBytes has a lot of nice features that are very helpful and have saved me from the trouble of removing a virus many times in the past.

 

I use MBAM Premium, MBAE (anti-exploit) and MBAR (anti-ransom).
