    BSODs/Hard freezes after installing SSD


    I get a blue screen after some time in a game without the samsung firmware installed.

    When I have the firmware installed, the screen freezes, then the sound some itme after.

    I know for a facts the SSD isn't faulte becouse I've already returned it once & still can't get it to work properly. Do I need a new MOBO?

    BSOD and freezing

    Yesterday I started up my laptop from hibernating and it freezes, after restarting several times I get a BSOD which freezed on the BSOD one time.
    After restarting again the laptop freezed at the Welcome screen.
    I have had the freezing before, it was gone for about 2 months.
    I did not install any new hardware.
    Now it seems to run fine again.

    But what is causing the freezing and the BSOD?
    I bought this laptop last January.

    SSD stops and freezes laptop

    Couple of updates:

    1. I created a Linux boot USB key, and monitored my SSD under Linux, so this is evidently not a Windows issue, and
    2. I loaded new firmware for the SSD, and my system seems to be functioning normally now. What a pleasure using a PC that doesn't consistently freeze up.

    Windows Vista Wont Install Freezes?

    had the same problem, freezes and long installation including each step loading, in my case a bios update helped.
