Windows 10: BSODs in Win 10 Pro on IBP Custom PC

Hi all,

So after my last failure with building a PC by hand, I decided to put together a custom rig with IBP that arrived surprisingly quickly. Here's the specs:

**Case:**be quiet! Pure Base 500DX Tempered Glass Gaming Case - Black

**Processor:**Intel® Core™ i5-10400F Processor

**Motherboard:**MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WiFi -

**Memory:**16GB [8GB x 2] DDR4 3200MHz ADATA XPG SPECTRIX D41 RGB

**Video Card:**NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER - 4GB GDDR6 - MSI AERO ITX OC

**Power Supply:**800 Watt - High Power - 80 PLUS Gold

**Processor Cooling:**iBUYPOWER DEEPCOOL GAMERSTORM RGB 240mm CASTLE 240EX Liquid Cooler

**Primary Hard Drive:**500GB WD Blue SN550 M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD

**Operating System:**Windows 10 Pro - (64-bit)

I've done a little tinkering around, mostly by turning down the AIO fans from full blast (like a mini jet engine), adding a Samsung 500GB SATA SSD, and getting it as updated as possible.

However, now I'm encountering random BSODs. They seem to happen most often while gaming, even when it's not a particularly intensive or fast moment, and once while just watching a Twitch stream. Here's what I've gotten in the last three days from BlueScreenView.

DPC_Watchdog_Violation

PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

BAD_POOL_CALLER

All of which are coming from ntoskrnl.exe+3f5780. I can provide more info if needed, but could anyone point me towards other things to check or fix? Tried SFC /Scannow and didn't see any errors pop up.

Win 10 BSOD after reducing number of CPUs

• Win 10 x64 running in VMware Fusion VM on MacBook Pro w/ 6 physical cores & HT.
• When VM is configured with 5+ CPUs, Windows runs fine.
• When VM is configured with 4 or fewer, BSOD INVALID SYSTEM CONFIG INFO
  • WINLOAD.EFI missing or corrupted
  • Attempt to repair using ISO image fails

OS X 10.15.4, VMware Fusion Pro 11.5.3

Win 10 Enterprise

Version 1703

Build 15063.2108

Any suggestions appreciated, as I need to move this VM to another HW config with fewer physical CPUs.

Win 7 pro to Upgrade to Win 10 Pro

Long story. Several months ago upgraded from win 7 pro to win 10 pro.
Everything fine until BSOD a few days ago. After many hrs of trying to fix with no luck I decided to do clean install of win 7 again and then using Media Creation Tool downloaded and created what I thought was a Win 10 Pro ISO disk.
Used disk and loaded win 10 to pc. Things again fine except have the “Activate Window” message and that’s when I discovered the ISO was Win 10 Home.
Why didn’t the Media Creation Tool create a Win 10 Pro ISO and how do I now get the Win 10 Pro ISO.

 

Win 10 Pro BSOD Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap

I have reason to believe the BSOD Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap occurring on my Win 10 Pro is caused by an UNFRIENDLY DRIVER installed by Trend Micro Anti Virus.

I fully clean Installed Win 10 Pro from the disk and started again.

All was fine until I rebooted after installing Trend Micro Maximum Security then the BSOD and error re-occurred.

After restoring my PC to a time before the install all is well.

Hope this helps someone else out there.
