Windows 10: BSODs When Gaming: Bugcheck 0x00000124 and WHEA-Logger Error

Problem:The whole system crashes when running non-browser-based games of all kinds. I'm unable to replicate it consistently, although I've noticed it seems to occur more frequently when loading - happens every 20 minutes or so. Sometimes it's a straight-up blue screen, other times it's a black screen with red and green artefacts left behind from the program. I just received two Event ID 19 WHEA-Logger's tonight, "Reported by component: Processor Core"

Google led me to a Ten forums thread that seems to indicate this Meltdown and Spectre patch related. Has anyone else had these or know anything more about it?
