  1. BTHUSB EventID 17 Error

Hello, I'm using a HP Victus 15 FA-0007nt laptop with Windows 11 Pro. I was having a conversation on Discord and when I left the conversation, as always, the sounds were gone due to the handsfree. I was trying to fix this by turning Bluetooth off and then on again, but this time when I turned it off, it didn't turn on again and its icon disappeared. Windows does not detect Bluetooth at all. The event viewer document is like this;<System><Provider Name="BTHUSB" /><EventID Qualifiers="49157">17</EventID><Version>0</Version><Level>2</Level><Task&

  2. Error: BTHUSB event id 5

    Hello everyone,

Hope you all are doing well in this unprecedented times(Corona pandemic 2020).

    Here is the problem:

I have searched whole of the internet for an issue regarding the auto-restart of my PC whenever it shuts down(my PC automatically turns ON after I shut it down), it does not throw any error or any other blue screen issues during shut down. One of the solutions
in the internet said to check system logs in the event viewer against the time of shutdown.

Fortunately, I found an error: BTHUSB with event id 5 stating:
The Bluetooth driver expected an HCI event with a certain size but did not receive it.

Can this error be the reason why my PC restarts automatically?

And if not still how to resolve this and how to overcome the problem of auto restarting.

    Any help is appreciated.

    I'm currently on Windows 10.

Detailed description from the event viewer is as follows:

    Log Name: System

    Source: BTHUSB

Commonly the device ID is a device that shares resources with another device, have you checked in msinfo32 under Hardware Resources > Conflicts/Sharing if this is the case? If this is the case, the device's drivers that it is sharing with should be updated or reinstalled instead.

I have the same device which shares resources with the USB controller.

Suddenly cannot access websites with IE 11 on Win 10 Home as of 4/17/17 AM

Thanks for your interest and suggestions, Jaune!

I ran the System File Checker to "verification 100% complete" with "Windows did not find any integrity violations".

The error message I get is a white screen with the message "this page can't be displayed".

    • make sure the web address is correct (it is)
    • look for the page with your search engine (doesn't work)
    • refresh the page in a few minutes (also doesn't work)
    • [radio button] Fix Connection Problems (doesn't find an identifiable problem)
(This is preceded by tabs with the correct website names and spinning progress wheels, but ends in the above error message.)

Changes made prior to this issue which was not occurring in the three days prior and only noted in AM of 4/17/17:

    • 4/14/17: Adobe Acrobat Reader 17.009.20044 (unstated publisher, automatic)
    • 4/15/17: security update Adobe Flash Reader (Microsoft, automatic)
    • 4/16/17: Security Update for Microsoft Windows KB4015217 (Microsoft, automatic)
    • 4/16/17: change in boot menu from CD, Windows to CD, USB, Windows (manual, in BIOS)
Any ideas with this new information?
