Windows 10: [Bug | Help] Boot screen graphics replaced with BIOS splash screen

Summary


There was a recent problem after reinstalling the OS on a desktop after using the USB key to do the very same on a laptop. The laptop installation went fine, but went the OS was installed on the desktop, the Windows 10 load/boot screen graphics were replaced with the BIOS splash screen, although the rotating dots remained in place.


Explanation


This may seem unlikely, there may have been a virus of sorts on the USB key, although that seems farfetched as there's really no explanation for that. Since RAM gets cleared on a PC reset, some source of manipulation from this also seems unlikely. There may simply be no virus at all as the cause, unless the BIOS has been tampered with.


As of note, when booting up an updated copy of the Windows 10 installation from the USB key, the graphics are also replaced. So this seems to point to a problem with the BIOS, or perhaps it needs to be taken a step further by formatting the main drive and reinstalling again with the updated installation.


This doesn't seem to be a very popular problem.

ASUS z77 Start up splash screen

Hi,

I have an ssd installed on my pc with my os on it (win7), I was under the impression that this would drastically improve the boot times, but the mobo splash screen appears for at least 10 seconds, then is replaced by a bios screen stating the different drives I have in sata 3.0 ports, then cuts to another splash screen f

Any idea on how to disable some of this information, as at the moment, my old dual core laptop boots faster than this machine?

No splash screen at daily startup


Almost, it is an NP350VC5 (Black), it came with Windows 8 and the latest Intel Graphics Driver dates from 2015.
Further edit: seems I was wrong.
After a reboot, I now get a completely black screen, no Samsung splash screen or anything.
The steps I took before donot help anymore.
Where do I go from here?

 

Dell logo replaces Windows 10 Boot Screen

Unfortunately, it is not possible to change the boot logo of Windows 10 since its BIOS splash screen. Boot logo is displayed by the BIOS process. BIOS is designed and coded by the computer manufacturer. I would suggest you to contact
the hardware manufacturer for further assistance.
