Windows 10: BUG/HELP: Large number of 131 Errors + 200, 201, and 202 Warnings in my event viewer.

Hi all,

I'm getting these reoccurring errors and warning in my event viewer.

• Event 131, DeviceSetupManager
  • Metadata staging failed, result=0x80070057 for container '{D397268A-724C-B4EF-D641-C9234BA2948B}'
    • This is just one of the 131 errors there are 5 others with similar descriptions.
• Event 200, DeviceSetupManager
  • A connection to the Windows Update service could not be established.
• Event 201, DeviceSetupManager
  • A connection to the Windows Metadata and Internet Services (WMIS) could not be established.
• Event 202, DeviceSetupManager
  • The Network List Manager reports no connectivity to the internet.

I have run a DISM and SFC scan on my computer and they have both come back clean, I have also done a fresh install of windows and is has not stopped these errors and warnings.

Also I am still getting updates when I go and check for updates using windows update so I am confused as to why it is even dropping the Event 200.

Event 200, 201, and 202 only happen at startup.

Event 131 happens at startup and anytime I refresh my Devices and Printers

Event ID 200 201 202 DeviceSetupManager


Hi,

I usually see this Warning Level Event ID in the Event Viewer...not sure what cause it but it happen from time to time

1. Event ID 200.....A connection to the Windows Update service could not be established.

2. Event ID 201....A connection to the Windows Metadata and Internet Services (WMIS) could not be established.

3. Event ID 202...The Network List Manager reports no connectivity to the internet.

Anybody knows what happened???

 

Constants DeviceSetupManager 201, 202, & 203 Warnings in Windows 10 Version 1803

In Windows 10 Version 1803, I am consistently getting Device Setup Manager 201, 202, and 203 warnings. A group of 4 warnings (202, 200, 202, 201) will immediately follow the last 4. I'm not sure when these warnings started, but they been going on for
a couple of weeks at least. There are so many of them that it completely fills the devicesetupmanager\admin file within a day or two and my Administrative Events log file is virtually useless because of the large number of superfluous devicesetupmanager warnings.
I've searched for these warnings on Google, but there is nothing recent and no resolution for the problem, however, many people have experienced the same warnings. Any suggestions?

 

DeviceSetupManager event 201/202. Help needed to check/fix registry

Thanks aardvark. So on your system you do have all the same exact registry values as in the image posted above, but no Event ID 200, 201, and 202 errors, am I correct?

I have a Microsoft wireless mouse. I'll check the link and see if your suggestion works
